How about this for your new sig:

    I am Coco and I kick debt's @rse!
My ex can be a twonk but I am brilliant at remaining serene when faced with his twonk-ness.
My boys are messy but fantastic.
I am moving a step closer to my dreams every day.
Lots of people on MSE like reading my diary as I am an inspiration to them.

Thats what I'd say about you anyway. Keep going. :D

    What a lovely message moneymission.

Good idea setting yourself small targets for the long term goal, makes it all the more achievable I think

Sorry haven't been getting my updates and only just checked in ...,, thank you all :) Moneymission I am very red faced but thanks :o

Really busy day , thank god it's Friday !!!
The paperwork cupboard has my name on it this weekend .... I wanted to start tonight but just don't have the energy - luckily , my weak limbs had just enough in them to pour a glass of wine :rotfl:

Just sat wondering how to make £25 last a week ...... I cannot wait for the end of this month - I have my new (slightly improved) budget ready to go and I want to get on with it !!!

    Hope everyone is well x

So it's Sunday already ! It's pouring with rain here .... Boo !

Have the remains of the eldests "midnight cookathon" to deal with this morning. I could leave it for him but I can't bear to look at it :)

House is still disgusting so I guess I need to get on with that as well as the paperwork mountain. Had one of those "we may have mis-sold you PPI letters yesterday on an old loan - don't know whether to fill it in or not ? May get something out of it ? Now have details of the next debt to deal with - £897 it's with a DCA, so I need to decide how to deal with that next.

Right best get on - hope everyone is having a good Sunday :) x

  • Hi Coco

Ref: the PPI letter, definitely fill it in, you have nothing to lose. I had one from an old egg loan circa 2003 and I would have sworn never to have had PPI but have since received a cheque for £1900.

It's made a big difference to my DFD, I put some in a junior ISA for my son and had a little splurge on clothes and make-up. It also lifted my spirits and spurred me on to deal with the outstanding debt. Go for it!

    Yay !!!! It's the weekend :j

Work has been crazy !!! Not getting back till 7.00 , cooking , clearing up & falling into bed is all I have managed. Oh , and guilty of watching BB ........ :D

Must do that PPI form tomorrow , budget for July and sort myself out a bit. Cupboards and fridge are bare but we have just about made it. Strict menu for the weekend and I can finally do a shop on Tuesday. Will do a online stock up with Mr S as I have some vouchers and also a Mr A shop as its sooooooo much cheaper.

We have made a start de junking and throwing out and, as we are a broke house, will continue with that this weekend. We have a DVD to watch tonight and eldest has 4 beers in his fridge he said we can share :) bless him.

Right shower and get on with it - hope everyone is well :)

Hi Brizzle that's what I thought as well :)

Had a nice day yesterday lounged around chatting with boys and ex , very civilised ! He then left £25 with the eldest for a takeaway which I thought was very sweet of him. So we had Chinese , watched a horror film (partly from behind a cushion - me :D ) had a beer and went to bed about midnight. And , am ashamed to say - I didn't get up till 10 !!!!

Payday is looming. I have £9.00 left , will need £2.50 for school dinner and some batteries for remote but ...... I made it :)
Today's menu is , kind of fry up to use bits , ham & salad sarnies and roast chicken for dinner. I will make some flapjacks later and they can have pancakes with lemon & sugar for supper if they are still hungry - which they always are !

One thing I will do is get a money grip right from tomorrow. My downfall is I lose track of spending on the week after payday , then get back on track for the rest of the month having already spent money I didn't need to so I will do it properly this month :)

So I have at least an hours peace so another cuppa, watch corrie then on with the day !
