Clearly the PPC convinced them there was a 'problem to be managed' (easily fleeced by the PPC) rather than a money-making opportunity. And maybe the PPC is giving them a kickback on each ticket just to convince the car park owners it's a good thing.
The car park would make far more money charging even £8 per car as they'd get that for every car in the car park rather than summat rubbish like 10% of speculative invoices paid.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi,
Reading all of this seems very encouraging, especially as my husband returned last night with a LDK parking charge in his hand. His story is he took our son to watch Middlesbrough last night and the car park he normally parks in was full, but next to it was a company car park which others were parking in, which did have signs up advising private car park. He asked a couple of people if it was ok to park there (being it was 7.30 at night and it was obviously not being used by the company it belonged to), and was was advised they were parking there and it should be fine. As you can probably guess, upon returning after the match (boro won 3-1:)), he along with about another 20 cars, all had parking tickets issued by LDK. This may be a silly question, but is this an example of a ticket that can be ignored (being that we are not claiming to of had a ticket displayed etc)?
A wife who was not so happy last night:mad:, but is hoping to feel a bit better today:rotfl:
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hi
I was one of the 20 other cars last night parked there! The building in question is unused! I thought I had read somewhere that these charges are unenforceable so after reading this thread it's put my mind at rest. Up the Boro!0 -

Boro fans were very friendly when me and my family were chatting to some of them on the train to the Amex when you played Brighton. We like friendly footie fans on this forum so welcome
- although you may be a bit outnumbered as I am one of 3 Seagulls fans regularly advising people here to ignore fake PCNs.
You need to find the sticky thread called 'PPC letter chains' as I mentioned above, so you are ready to play snap with the threatograms, which are just junk mail. It won't go to Court and won't affect your credit. Spread the word - please add this thread as a link to a post on the Boro fans' forum so no-one pays!
Just look at LDK's website, !!!!!!, they specialise in waste collection, gardening, painting and gritting!
http://ldkgroup.co.uk/
It seems their 'ticketing' is done by someone onsite at the car park who doesn't work for LDK but just pointlessly wanders round 'self-ticketing', i.e. slapping bits of paper on cars and taking a photo in the hope of some commission. Never take such a rip-off seriously, nor the junk mail that follows.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm the only Swans fan on here that I've seen
we play Boro in the cup soon and hopefully will get a win lol . But on these invoices issued just ignore them completely, they are not even worth a second thought. By the way any away supporters coming to the Liberty Stadium there is parking available around the area and park and ride to the stadium, it's quite easy to park, leaving is an utter nightmare though as the police in their wisdom close roads Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
If the building is unused than the landowners losses are £0.00.0

I went to the brighton game last year. Its a really smart ground there now.
Thanks for all the advice on here, this sort of thing should be more well known. I just hope none of the people who got tickets in that car park have paid although I'm sure there will be some

All we can hope for is that they know its a scam, or they speak to friends and or family who know its one as well. Or if they put a search on the net they will be directed to forums like this who can advise accordingly. Statistically though about half will pay, which is why these scammers exist.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. LDK - easily ignored.
Roxborg - well, they have to do something whilst they're twiddling their thumbs for a bit having had their DVLA access chopped off. I just wish I'd put a few quid on the total demanded in PoolsDriver's letter being £207.
@ Coupon-mad - Don't forget that "Steve" from Roxborg is also a Seagulls fan.My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
