Just to add in - I HATE MY ARMS TOO!!! Why do they never ever get better?!

So sorry to hear everyone's stress, especially about your Dad sk00bie :(

I'll be honest, I'm going to not check on here as much for the next couple of weeks as I find I'm spending too much time on here haha and not finishing stuff off - sounds like your all a lot more ahead of me and I only have 2.5 weeks to go!!

That's so scary...but so exciting, I just want to be married now :)
Officially Mrs B as of March 2013
TTC since Apr 2015, baby B born March 2017

    Hi girls,

Looks like traumas all around! I do hope everyone starts feeling better soon. Weddings should be fun! For me, recently, it's just all felt like too much for my brain to cope with - so I shut down completely.

Work's one disaster after another (doing job of 3 people and doing it badly), I can't find a house I can afford to buy in an area where OH gets to keep his part-time job (which he resents me for, despite the fact I'll be paying all the bills) and the landlord is chasing us early this year to sign another year's rental contract, OH and I have had (as mentioned before) the kind of falling out that means there is *zero* trust left in our relationship, people are dropping out of hen do, OH's nan is still in hospital and prob can't make the wedding, everyone wants money, I don't like my bouquet at all, I still haven't confirmed a hairdresser and now a guest is making me feel guilty for not providing enough food for their kids during the day! *breathe*

But...I've decided I need to get my head out of the raincloud it's been in for the last 10 days and get my practical head on. If I can't see a way out of the darkness, I need to keep digging til I find it! So I've made a list of stuff that needs to be done. At least for the wedding. The rest will have to just manage.

Here's my to-do list (still very long for 6 weeks to go...)

Banns at Home Parish - banns now read, need certificate
Accommodation to pay, check if cancelling room for unwell relative
Breakfast for non-hotel guests - Agree numbers for breakfast and book
Make sure all aware of rehearsal
Gifts for friends/family - have BM, MOB bracelets, need to get flowers for mum
Pay off rest of dress, final(ish) fitting 20th March
Buy veil - otherwise use borrowed one
Hair trial at college - 22nd March
    Wedding underwear to buy
    Buy car ribbons
    Confetti/rose petals?
    List of shots for photographer
    Pay magician
    Pay drinks venue
    Get more bucks fizz
    Get some soft drinks
Pay off chocolate fountain (ordered for 130 - but only 70 coming now)
Order cheese and crudites platters from Sainsburys (decide if to order kids sandwiches too)
Burn CD for music for drinks reception
    Decorate Bride & Groom Cups
    Decorate Daleks
    Sort Cake/Cake box/Cake Transport
Confirm evening numbers and pay off food beginning April
Confirm transport numbers and pay balance
Make cake pop favours, order organza bags
Allocate people to give out favours at the door
Sort out venue dressers, pay remaining balance, check re: tablecloths/table plans
    Sort out first dance song
Sort out request list for DJ
    Book Gatwick hotel for Jamaica
    Book taxi back from Gatwick
Book Jamaica excursions & confirm with both tour companies

wow lil_miss that is a looong list!

    Well....

I went to my fitting today with the seamstress! I was so stressed out I ended up breaking down into tears before getting anywhere near putting my dress on :( soon composed myself with the help of the ladies in the studio and got round to putting my dress on and it fit!! I was so worried that I had put weight and inches on but it still fit :D I feel like I have had the weight lifted off my shoulders since being there today!

Going back to the arms thing, Im still waiting to receive the bolero jacket, but was talking to the seamstress about it and showed her what I am waiting for. My dress comes with a wrap which I dont particularly like. On each end of the wrap there are some delicate embroidery that matches my dress. She has said she can pick them from the wrap and put them onto my bolero so it will look like the bolero is part of my dress rather than an add on after!! I am soo pleased with this idea and I really really hope this bolero fits!!!

Also got my jewellery today and h2b's wedding gift! It's been a productive day all round :)

Thank you to all of you for understanding me and listening to my rants!

I'm feeling stressed all the time too! I think from reading on here its the norm around now. I'm trying to relax and not stress about anything. 2 and a half weeks left before I finish work and I think we will be ok. Work is causing me stress-I started a new job in June and moved 200 miles and I dont have my support people near to me. Its hard doing this all at once. Will be glad to finish work and get focused on enjoying it. I'm not usually a stressy person at all so no idea where this is all coming from!

A few things too look forward to...coming up so trying to focus on those. I came home tonight and fiancee had cooked my tea and made me cakes to take into work for my colleague who retires tomorrow to help me out since work is busy. I am lucky and focusing on the fact that. Everything else will settle down after and we will get to enjoy our 3 days/nights away in cornwall which she doesn't know about. I have booked a suprise cabin with a hot tub in the countryside and arranged childcare. Looking forward to the next phase of our lives together!

The 3rd bolero turned up today! And yet again my arms are too big :( This one is 3 sizes biggger than my normal size!!

I contacted my seamstress who is altering my dress, and she asked me how the under arm is done, I told her it is stitched she said she can unpick the stitch and use some elastic or some ribbon to widen it, and as it would be under my arms it wouldn't notice! So going to see her with it tomorrow so she can see exactly what I mean and let me know what she can do so please all keep your fingers crossed for me xx

Hi girls hope you're all doing ok despite the stresses

I was ok up and till an hour ago now I'm fricking fuming. It's not even wedding related. My OH was made a stand in manager at a pub 100 miles from where we live for 3 months back in Aug. After 3 months we were meant to know if he was going to get it (after an interview) or be moved somewhere else.

It is now March and are no further forward. He was meant to go on a week long course which the company have only just decided he needs to do before he is eligiable for an interview. The course will teach him how to run a pub which is what he has been doing on his own since Aug without any training and has been doing really well. They have just told him that his deputy will have to cover another pub next week leaving just him so he can no longer go on the course. He asked when the next course is and it starts on the 22nd April we get married that Sat!!!

Getting so sick of it all we see each other one night every month hardly talk to each other it is all text messages and e-mails. We are both becoming very depressed because of being on our own all the time. I can't even go and stay with him because the room he has above the pub only has a single bed and there is nowhere but the bar to sit and relax because the kitchen manager (who is a nasty piece of work) has turned the lounge into his room.

On a happier note had my hair and make up trials whilst I was up at my mums this week and they went really well and I loved how they did it all. I have pretty much paid everything now only have the caterer and videographer left to do and that totals about 3K and I have that stashed away.

My MIL is being her usual happy helpful self. She was insiting she wanted to go home on the Sunday after the wedding despite it being £400. We asked if she would mind going back on the Monday (bearing in mind it is OH's 30th that day) because it would only be £280 and her and her other half went mental. Their not even paying for it we are! They found a hotel they liked for MIL her partner and OH's 2 brothers to stay in £200 a night! And the brothers wanted seperate rooms again we are footing the bill. When I said we couldn't afford that she threw a strop and then rang OH in tears telling him I had been swearing at her ect (I hadn't).

Faith - glad you liked your hair and make-up, it is so nice to feel special isn't it :) I've said it before but I'll say it again, I have no idea how you and your OH manage. You must have such a strong relationship to deal with the distance, so that is something to be pleased about at least? And try not to worry about the MIL...though I know it is easier said than done! families!

caz - sizes of wedding things seem to be so random, I'm sorry about your bolero. But good news if the seamstress can sort it out! I hope that works out and will definitely keep fingers crossed for you! xx

scared1 - I think weddings do weird things to people. I never believed people when they said it would be stressful, etc, but now am realising I am wrong! Two and a half weeks left of work is not TOO bad - that's what I have too and I am hoping it goes very quickly! (although the amount I have got to get done in that time is scary) That is so nice of your fiancee to make those cakes for you :) and your little break in Cornwall sounds lovely! as you say, try to focus on the positive things if at all possible!

lil miss - your to do list is so comprehensive! I might have to steal some of it as mine seems very vague now in comparison!

Thanks daisieegg my bolero is now with the seamstress she was confident she could do something with it! She is going to add the appliqu!s from the wrap that came with the dress so it should be really nice when it comes back with the dress! Here's hoping!

My mum met his mum dad and sister today! All went well then :) couldn't have gone better actually!!

Good Luck with the bolero Caz.

My bridesmaid dresses have been delivered to my old address and are now stuck in royal mail sorting office. Going to have to drive 200 each way saturday to collect them just hoping they let me have them as special delivery wouldn't give to my mum!

Otherwise I had a meltdown yesterday but a good friend helped me make a list of all the things that were making me anxious and write them down and sort one by one. Now I felt much calmer!
