Lovely pics, what a beautiful dress! Love the cake too, and glad to see someone else with Star Wars cut outs! :D

I came on thinking it was photo updates, so couldn't read and run.

I am so very very sorry. My dad is going through an unbelieveably hard time right now - as all are in the same situation; sometimes I think we've been together 8 years and now 4 weeks before the wedding I'm told he might not make it to see me walk down tha aisle! I could scream, life is so unfair at times.

I hope that the 1% is holding out and you get some good news.

    Thinking of you.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

    Faith,

I'm not sure what type of cancer your mum may have but I was diagnosed last year (at the age of 28) with breast cancer.

I went through chemo x 6, surgery x 2 and radiotherapy x 25 and am now taking a pill for 5 years before i get the all clear. Yes it was scary but it was do-able.

I've kept a blog: here if you want to have a look, I've been told it's helped lots of people. It's been read in over 65 countries and has had 34,000 pageviews - so if it is BC then encourage your mum to have a read.

Also, if you'd like to PM me with any questions then i'd be really happy to help out xxx
Lover of languages, handbags, travel, my Border Terrier, my husband, cheese & gin. Kicker of cancer's butt. Not necessarily in that order ;)

Thank you all for your kind words.

Jellytot I will certainly passing your blog details on to her.

We get the full results on Weds so fingers crossed for that. My biggest fear is that we find out it's too late to do anything. I don't know what I'll do if that happens.

My new husband has been fantastic he has really stepped up on all fronts. He rushed back from work to come look after me for a few days as I took it really badly (me & my mum are very very close). He went back today and I have loads of post wedding things to sort this weekend so hopefully that will keep me busy.

    Hi ladies! :D

Not sure if any of you will notice this (I certainly don't really come on the board anymore) but I just wanted to say, one year on....HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ALL THE APRIL 2013 BRIDES! :D

Can't believe it has been a year :) hope it has been a good one for everyone. I have had a lovely year - although the foot I broke on my wedding day did not heal really properly until about October - but it was a great year nonetheless and now we are expecting a baby :)

If anyone does read this, hope you are all well and still as happy as ever!

Congrats Daisieegg! So pleased for you! When are you due?

Well it's been a rough year for us and certainly a testing time for a newly married couple but hopefully it will start getting better.

Mum is still undergoing treatment but due to finish in July and so far it's all looking good.

OH is finally moving home on the 24th April after us living apart for over 20 months now only trouble is he had to take a massive pay cut to do it so our first time living together and actually having time together is going to be a bit different from what we first thought. Also I'm worried about how it's going to be living together after all this time especially adding in the lack of funds which he has never had to deal with before but I'm sure we'll work it out.

We still haven't had our honeymoon and it looks like now it will be at least another 2-3 years before we can now :(

But hey ho we're together still and that's the main thing
