I am married and was back to work today- was funny doing the register with the class!

Caz I hope the last few bits are coming together for you,,, how you feeling?

Awwww how many times did you hear your new name? Lol

I think we are ready to go tbh! Just need to pick up suits on Tuesday and take everything to the venue (that will take a few trips in my little fiesta lol) I have been so organised I don't feel that stressed just full of butterflies and nerves now he feels soooo close!!

  • Oh no, I have succumbed to the curse of April brides and hurt my foot before the wedding! No idea how, as I was sitting at my desk, but I can't put weight on my foot at all! Wedding is on Saturday, rehearsal Friday, 200 miles away and I can't currently drive! Or stand. Or get to work to pick up confetti, flip flops, gifts for family etc. I'm officially screwed.

Big hello from an over water restaurant in the middle Maldives!

Wedding was truly fantastic, we had laughter, tears and lots of emotion. No major dramas, I managed to keep my cool and I just want to do it all over again really. Honeymoon fab so far although I had to stay off my foot yesterday after spraining it getting into a speedboat, what is it with us lot eh?

Just so pleased we still have our reception to go so I can wear my dress again, I felt like a princess. Good luck all the ladies getting hitched soon xx

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

Glad you had a good time and it all went to plan :) Hope you have a wonderful honeymoon.

However you lot are now scaring me slightly with the whole foot thing :( I have a dodgy knee anyway but now I think I'm going to wrap myself up in cotton wool

10 days to go!!! eek! I am offically now excited after have a few nightmares and small 'panic' attacks the last few days. still finalising things with people and of course the last minute drop out! But i am soo pleased with all my friends and family saying theyve bought a new suit or outfit and really made an effort I cant wait to see them all dressed up!

Hen do was amazing my friends made such an amazing effort - from chinese and dancing the night away to burlesque dancing and providing me with a meat bra! Lady Gaga eat your heart out! (The real fancy dress costume came only 5 mins later) To dressing up as Jedward and giving the dreamboys a lap dance, they all made such an effort and showed who my true friends are.

Congrats to everyone whos got married so far sounds like you are all so happy with your days and enjoying married life already.

As for the foot curse I can join in I have a massive purple bruise on my foot?! I havent banged it or anything (that i can remember!) and i can walk on it though i notice it hurts but have a not a clue how i've done it! We have a charity day on friday and im doing a transformation project! I just hope i dont break anything even a nail!

OH has next week off to finalise all the last bits pick up bits etc. I finish on Wednesday next week. I'm picking up my dress on Saturday, going to last beauty appointments etc

What have people forgotten!? there is always one thing! So far one of the guys at work said they forgot to book a cab to their hotel - i have that on my list so it wont be that but i know there will be something!

Good Luck to all those Brides who are left to get married this month!

Is it sad I cant wait to catch up with you all on our 1st anniversary and see what we're all up to?!

OMG what is with the April brides' foot curse?! So sorry to have kicked (ha ha) it off!

Just been to the fracture clinic and apparently they had thought from the x ray that I might need surgery  - but the consultant looked at it today and thought after all it is better than they thought from the x ray. I have to go back in 4 weeks and have to keep it up as much as possible - chance would be a fine thing!

Huge good luck to everyone still to go and let's hope there are no more feet related incidents!

I have a slight confession to make daisie I may have started it off with the foot thing back in March I dropped a cast iron statue on one of my toes and the nail still has this ugly triangler bruise on it (thank God I got closed toe shoes) I'm hoping that will be my only thing.

    Glad you don't need surgery.

It is my last day tomorrow but I'm thinking of asking for a half day I just can't be bothered any more my mind is off in wedding planning and I keep gettin side tracked. Did anyone else get this?

I fly up to my mums on Saturday REALLY annoyed at EasyJet though if I want to take my dress with me I can't take any other hand luggage. My dress isn't a big poofy dress it fits in a suit bag. This means OH is going to have to bring it up in the car when he comes up. I am seriously tempted to turn up at the airport and see if they take pity on me if not OH can take it back with him and nothing lost. My theory is it is the same as me taking a coat and a handbag with me. The call centre suggested I stuff it into a suitcase!!!! I was not best pleased. Any ideas I hate the thought of not having my dress with me it is totally irrational but I have seen it hanging up on the back of my bedroom door every day for the last month and it will be strange having to wait for it

Oh no just seen it is predicted to sleet the early hours of the morning on the day of the wedding and then 100% chance of rain from 1pm I'm getting married at 5:30pm.

Here's hoping it changes before then :(

Faith - I know it is hard to do, but try to ignore the weather forecast! Two reasons - firstly, it can change so much. On our day it was forecast to be cloudy and rainy and it ended up being perfect clear blue skies, gorgeous sunshine and about 4 degrees hotter than had been forecast! The other huge reason is - YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE WEATHER! I know that is very difficult because I was exactly the same as you! I was checking it hourly in the month leading up to the day...but in the end, you won't care or notice, you will be having such a perfect day.

That said, I will keep my fingers crossed for you it turns out all right!

I'm another one for checking the weather from the moment the countdown hit 30 days I've checked everyday! Now 9 days away and the forecast continues to change daily but I still can't help checking lol

Each site gives a different forecast too!!

Well I've had my first day off work today! I had a loooong lay in whichever a lovely change from getting up at 4.45am! I sorted out the gifts into their gift bags and all the bits and pieces I need to take with me to my bridesmaids parents as that's where I'm getting ready! Went to see my sister and have cuddles with my week old niece, then went to the future in laws to drop mog's coursage and fog's button hole and socks lol
Ive just filled a bucket with gel cubes and water so they can grow ready to take to the venue for the centrepiece vases!

I think tomorrow I can actually have a lazy rest up day!! Everything is ready to go and there is still 9 days to go!!! Lol
