I think he got caught up in it all.

I think it was the way he told me, the fact I hadn't heard from him all weekend (I was kind of expecting that), the fact he broke his promise ect plus I have had a really terrible week where by I thought I was going to lose my job plus not seeing him for 3 weeks all just got a bit much plus being extremly tired.

We had a long chat last night and we are all good but he knows I am not going to let it go lightly he is in trouble and he knows it lol

Yay! Am so glad you've talked it over and worked it out Faith :)

It sounds like he's really sorry he hurt you. It's awful when everything adds up like that and you have a melt down where it all comes out at once! I've been very close a couple of times with everything thats going on, why do weddings bring out the worst in people!

My friend that booked to go to Washington instead of coming to our wedding messaged me asking if I wanted to meet up this week. I would like to see her, and I'm trying not to hold a grudge but I'm worried I won't have anything nice to say. :( Am very tempted to put her off for a while until I've calmed down and hopefully got over feeling let down. I may have to cause at the moment I'd refuse to discuss it for fear of getting upset.

Doesn't help that she's just announced her wedding later in the year. I know it's childish but I feel like not going in retalliation! (Of course I wouldn't actually do this.)

On a happier note I finished our ring pillow for the reception ceremony. OH is a bit of a gamer so it's shaped like an xbox controller :D

I think he does know but as I said everything all at once and I flipped not proud of it but at least it's all out now lol

I know what you mean about not wanting to go to hers we have the same with OH cousins they can't come to the wedding because they don't want to be that far away from the kids overnight (but they can go to Spain for a week on their own without the kids ). They are getting married in July and we can't go due to leave from work which has made me feel much better :T His other cousin and wife are refusing to come (well the wife is refusing) because we are not having a religious cermony so how can we call it a wedding when it is not santified by the Church (she is in the process of becoming a born again).

The ring cushion is fantastic!! Did it take long to do?

Eek that sounds like a mine field! Families eh? And especially refusing to come because it's non-religious! Oh dear...

Hmm the cushion took maybe 6 or 8 hours over a few evenings I think. I always think I must note down how long these things take me, and always forget to! Glad you like it :) Am really pleased with it :o

Have just added up our RSVPs and we're at 25 yes and 5 no, with 3 weeks left before the deadline, I'm not particularly worried about getting them all in... But we handed them out 3 weeks ago, wish everyone would hurry up and RSVP now!!!!

    My thoughts exactly :rotfl:

You should be pleased with it it's really good.

My RSVP's were due on the 16th and I'm still missing 3 but I am so sick of it all I have taken the view if they haven't responded then I'm not including them their hard luck. Our numbers have dropped a lot which I was a) expecting and b) hoping for we have gone from 84 (which was over our allowed 80) to about 40-45 so I'm really pleased as it has halved our catering bill :T

My too do list now is

    1) go to offices to register and fill out forms and pay fee
    2) hair & make up appointment
    3) my brother and 1 other usher need to get their suits fitted
    4) gifts for ushers, bm's and MOB and MIL2B to be ordered.
    5) order last bits for table and personlised ribbon for the favours
    6) confirm and pay for flowers
    7) confirm and pay for ballons
    8) order sweets for sweet table
    9) final dressing fittings
    10) get jackets from bm's (seen ones i like in Monsoon but £45 EACH!!)
    11) Get Bm's shoes
    12) Get OH present
    13) OH to get my ring
    14) Meet with photographer (OH knows him)
    15) Arrange a coach to pick people up
    16) Let venue know last few details which are mainly number based
    17) Get last few bits for BM goodie bags
    18) Finalise music choices with piper
    19) Make my wishing tree

Wow more than I thought but most I can do this week now I know numbers and also getting a lot done up at my mums this weekend :T

we're getting married next month!!!! eek!

I've been couting in weeks but my mum just sent a text saying its next month!

This week we are having the banns being read in the church we are getting married at, sorting out my veil - I finally have a date for my dress fitting (!) and a millions of other bits - really need to write a to do list but I'm very scared at everything I still need to do!
Hope you are all well and your plans are coming on nicelyxx

    EEEEEK!!!!

My mum and I made our favours this week, they look lovely.

OH and I have our marriage preparation course at church tomorrow (argh) and on Sunday we are going along with my brother for them both to be measured for suits. Then I have second dress fitting on Tuesday!

Hope everyone's plans are going well!
  • I'm really sick of it all at the moment, if I'm honest. OH and I have had a huge falling out, which we're trying to get over right now. But it really threw me. I've just got to the point where I wish I didn't have to think about the wedding. But now everyone's wanting payments, I am having dress fittings and having to think about all the little details, which I no longer have any interest in.

The church contacted me with my invoice, including £125 for church flowers which I had said I didn't want. When I corrected them, I got this response: "The flower arranger has explained that you do not want any specific flowers so there will be no arrangement in the porch. However there will be flowers by the pulpit as we need to be ready for the following morning. We wonder whether you could give a donation towards this arrangement?" - at that point I was so fed up with the whole thing I was tempted to call it off completely. We cut out flowers because we couldn't afford them - we certainly can't afford to pay for flowers we didn't want.

I actually burst into tears with my manager at work today. Again. Work has been really stressful and I think I just snapped.

I can't wait for it all to be over with and be on a beach in Jamaica!
  • Sorry, that was a downer - I hope everyone else is enjoying the last few bits of planning :)
