    thanks for your replies

I wrote that when I needed a rant lol

I have since thought about it some more and realised I was just like that because h2b got so upset about it n I couldn't think rationally knowing how upset he was!

they are coming for most of it and his mum has since told me his dad doesnt like parties so the fact he is staying for the evening at all is a good thing in itself!

scared so sorry to hear about your grandad (((hugs))) it would be fantastic if he can see on webcam least that way he can still feel like he is there! xx

Mil and Fil to be told us last night that they will be leaving the wedding between half 9 and 10!! H2b rung his mum to tell her he wants them to stay til the end and be there for his one and only big day and his dad said half 10 and won't budge!!!

Am i wrong to feel a bit angry and upset that his parents won't stay in the evening? H2b was quite upset by it last night to the point he told his mum if his dad wants to leave early then he can walk he don't care etc it was quite heated!

I thought his parents would at least stay til near the end! I also suggested maybe 11-half 11 so not right til the end but late enough for h2b to feel his parents wanted to be there for his big day and night

Someone help me be rationale! His mum has asked is to go over t the weekend and asked ME to speak to his dad but i know Ill end up getting worked up about it

I do understand. I have a similar issue. MIL didn't want to worry about taxis so has booked a minibus for her whole side of the family between 10:30-11pm. So not just them going, his aunt, grandma, aunt and uncle, 2 cousins...Whether they want to leave then or not!

And my dad may or may not even be coming to the evening do. Last email was that he couldn't get cover for the next morning so may leave mid-afternoon. The RSVP didn't say anything either way so I still don't know. We're not close, but it makes you feel unimportant.

Lil_miss it's the same with h2b's family! He only has his mum dad nan 1 of his 2 sisters and his nephew and they will all be leaving together in the same taxi! I thought if said all of them in my first post about it but I obviously didn't lol

So his whole family will be going early! Least he will have my family n our friends x

Well have just cancelled my hen night because we lost the booking because no-one bothered to pay the £9 deposte despite having 3 months notice.

So annoyed! CBM asked if I wanted to do anything else but I really can't be bothered now. What's the point these "friends" obviously do not want to celebrate with me so why should I do anything.

    Oh no Faith :(

Maybe you and CBM could have a girly night in? ...with lots of wine!

Looks like everyone is having guest/family woes. My rant is on fb :rotfl: Everything's calmed down a bit now with mine but nothing is resolved so I'm just waiting for it to all flare up again!

It really hurts when it's rubbed in your face that it's just another party for some people :( Makes the ones that do make the effort even more special though!

That's what i'm thinking. Even two of the BM's can't make it because it's too far and one is my SIL!!!

I know what you mean about the ones that make an effort. My best friend is travelling over 3000 miles to come and we have only been friends for 6 years and met on FB we have only seen each othe in total a month over 6 years :rotfl: Yet my own cousins cant be bothered to come

Our numbers have plummeted BIG time we are down to 40 now. It really shows where you rank in peoples opinions

Exactly!!! I'm feeling OK about it now, after all the fuss with people pulling out of Vegas, we decided s*d the lot of them, we're going to go and have a fab time anyway. It did take some time to get to that point though, I'll admit!

As everything was fuss over Vegas I thought once we were on the plane nothing would matter, but all this stuff with my parents will affect the reception as well. Hope I'm not going to be worrying about that the whole time in Vegas!

My 2 BMs that aren't coming to LV have been busy organising my hen do, I think they see it as a way of making it up to me, bless them :o

We have about 70 coming so far, out of 130  Still a few RSVPS outstanding though, even though today is the day! Arghhh!

Well I've just had a photobooth supplier cancel for an April wedding, despite him having taken payment in full. Reason for cancellation is he has double booked us (and presumably the other party paid him more).

We have been refunded ... but anyone know our legal rights? I believe we will be a couple of hundred pounds out of pocket once we have arranged something else from the few suppliers remaining available for that date.

I've worked out the hard way that the only people who actually care are maybe parents, grandparents and probably very, very best friends. As much as I hate to say it, it is just another party for everyone else, not saying it's right but that's just the way it is. Faith - am really sorry about your hen night, I had really hoped to have a bigger group but I am glad it's just ended up with the 8 of us, at least I know these people really care. If your CBM is still up for doing something then have a great day out with her instead, some people really do care but they just can't force others to be as considerate.

The SiL who couldn't come to my hen do as she is working forgot to carry on lying and her husband dropped her in it but saying she could take him to my OHs stag do which is the same day....!! Have now booked 8 spaces foe his archery day and have managed to get hold of his boss and have 7 of his workmates also going for the curry, that will be a big surprise for him and I hope he appreciates it. Just arranged for my make up lady to do my hair and make up for my hen do as well, it's my birthday on the 28th so I thought it would be a nice treat.

Andy now actually had his full outfit, we couldn't get the waistcoat to match his trousers and jacket so he got a very dark gray one as a contrasting colour and it has a lovely aubergine back which mataches the tie I bought him perfectly, he just wants to get some new shoes and he is ready. Both times he has tried it all on together I have got very tearful and had to walk away, that doesn't bode well for the big day :o. My dress is back and is great, she did an amazing job of the new modesty panel and adjusting the boning! She currently has my honeymoon dress and my bridesmaid and MOG outfit to alter and they should be back next week.

Picked my artificial bouquet up last Saturday and it's fantastic, so colourful and lots of sparkles, I was a bit worried as the purple flowers looked really blue in the pictures but in the flesh they most definitely are purple. I think I would have been really sad if they'd been made with fresh and I wouldn't be able to keep them.

Spent 6 hours on Monday the 4th going round suppliers and confiming/paying balances so everything for the actual day is paid, apart from the singing and make up lady who want paying on the day. Added some Pimms to our reception drink and the venue co-ordinator managed to persuade the singer to split his set to cover an hour on arrival and then half hour after lunch, she even offered to bribe him if she had to!

Think I have sorted most of the gifts - the groom has his Star Wars Hoody (which cost me a bomb) and I also bought him an underwater camera which I am packing with lots of sweet treats and a little book called 'don't for husbands', that's all going in the suitcase for him to open when we are away. The best man, my brother and him also all have gift boxes to open in the morning with their button holes, cuff links, hotel chocolat mini slabs, hand painted whiskey tumblers, personalised coasters, tissues, tic-tacs and I'll put some pre-mixed cans of alcohol in the fridge for them. I've ordered bouquets for my mum, his mum and the best mans gf (my hair dresser) has got a chocolate bouquet which will be on the table for her when we get to the venue. My best mates gift is still work in progress but my mum also has a personalised photo frame and trolley token keyring, my daughter has some hotel chocolat and a wooden heart keepsake.....phew! My last job with gifts is to write our the beautiful groom journal, not sure if anyone has heard of them but it's a personalised book where you answer questions/write feelings about them, you can buy them but they are quite expensive so I bought a mini scrapbook with 12 pages and am going to make a start soon.

We've decided to add in some of our own vows and keep them secret from each other so this weekends job is to get all of that finished up and delivered to the registry office with the music. My brothers girlfriend kindly agreed to do a reading for us so is reading something said by Bob Marley and my daughter has a surprise poem to read as well. Music was a REALLY hard choice but I think we are almost there, our biggest surprise will be that our second signing the register song will be 'manamana' from Sesame Street :rotfl:, it just makes us laugh, me especially. OH has sourced most of the motown songs we wanted for our background music and it's been really hard not to let the cat out of the bag, he still has no idea about the singer!

Going to London tomorrow for afternoon tea with a friend who couldn't come to my main hen do and my best mate has just booked quad biking for hen do 2/birthday and I can't wait for that :D. Am now not wearing face make up until the wedding to try and calm my skin down. Bought £700 of dollars today ready for honeymoon, not too sure whether family were planning on giving us any so don't want to go overboard.

In not so good news, the grooms dad has to have a colonoscopy next week, it's early days obviously but OH is petrified his dad will be diagnosed with Cancer and maybe miss the wedding, I keep trying to tell him to be positive but he is anxious at the best of times, fingers crossed it will be nothing more serious than a few polyps.

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D
