Hi girls, (apologies for the repeat for those of you in the fb group).

I haven't been on here for a while....

I don't know how many of you are aware but in June last year I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 28.

I underwent chemo and 2 lots of surgery and yesterday I found out that the cancer is all gone :)

I still have to have radiotherapy as a precaution but other than that I'm all done!

I'm still getting married on 21/04 & have a fair few things still to do....

Before I had really long waist length hair and now it's v v short, 3 months ago I was bald. So my photos won't look like how I always imagined but I'm here and healthy!

    Jelly xx

    WOW! That's so amazing!

It's not the same as being just 28 but my Mum had it a couple of years ago at under 50 and I know just how amazing that all clear news it to get.

You must be over the moon and so many best wishes for you wedding xx

12 weeks today!!! This time in 12 weeks ill be a married woman!!!

Someone asked me today if I have started practicing my new signature which I then realised I hadn't even thought about it! So I started having a go.....omg!! How hard is K.McEwan to sign???? My a's are written like they are in this font and my attempts look like crappy scribbles!!! Lol something like this is really bugging me! My current signature it just flows but I can't flow McEwan! Grrrrr lol

OMG I hadn't even thought of that...am so glad you sign the register with your maiden name!!

Yeh I totally agree! lol At least as thats had years of practice and I can do that neatly! lol

I think I've come up with a way that doesn't look too bad, the K.Mc are written ontop of each other followed by the Ewan lmfao lol doesn't sound so great when described haha

Took a call from our new venue the other evening, we have our planning meeting on the 13th - I can't wait!!! :D So exciting!

RSVP count so far: 41 Yes, 6 No... There are some that haven't RSVP'd who I know are definately coming, but I want an official RSVP...is that bridezilla'ish? lol Still a while I know but Im impatient! haha

I would like your opinions please!

I won't be wearing my wedding ring as tradition (on first) as it looks better sat on top of my engagement ring.

I don't know what to so regarding the ceremony!?

Do I wear my engagement ring so when OH places my wedding ring on my finger it's there and stays there as it should....

    Or

Do I not wear my engagement ring and after the ceremony take my wedding ring off, place my engagement ring on and the put the wedding ring back on?

I really don't know what to do!!!

I think I'd do the second one, wouldn't want it getting in the way during the ceremony. Not that it would but you know what I mean!

I'm probably not going to be able to wear my engagement and wedding rings together cause of my engagement ring's shape. Was thinking of starting to wear it on my right hand after the wedding, or just keep wearing it on my middle finger as I have been as its too big and haven't got around to getting resized :rotfl:

Bridesmaids have been measured up for their dresses, so the sewing starts next week. I got my dress from a Confetti and Lace sale in London...Bargain! Was reduced from £1500...got it for....£475.

Hi Leecie, welcome to the thread!

My OH's ring was arrived earlier this week. He chose a titanium carbide ring, £20 delivered from eBay :D

All our invitations are out now, just have to wait for replies, eek!!!

As our reception has expanded to include a cetemony as well, we realised we'd quite like a photographer there. My brother and sister both take lovely photographs but we want them to enjoy the day and not have to worry! Luckily our housemate (a photography student!) has agreed to take some pictures of the ceremony etc for us in return for dinner and the pictures for her portfolio which is great as we really can't afford the whole professional photographer thing!

Still getting carried away with other stuff instead of concentrating on my to do list :rotfl:

This weekend I'm definitely going to stop procrastinating and practice the cakes, watch this space!!

  • Hey ladies, how are we all?

This time in 9 weeks, I will be married!!!

I am looking for some help, if you don't mind?

We are having just 4 guests to our actual wedding, my SIL and her partner and my brother and his partner.

We would like to give them a gift to say thank you for sharing our special day with us, but don't really know what to get them!

We thought of getting each couple a joint present and are looking to spend up to £100 on each, but that's as far as we have got!

Any ideas would be greatly apreciated:o
