cats2012 you are so organised! I haven't even started thinking about music/readings etc. Argh!0

Lol I was really organised when our wedding was the 14th June lol then when we had our venue disaster it really annoyed me cos I felt so disorganised lol
We sorting the music as our registry office want the payment, vow choices and music on cd by February!
I don't think we are having any readings as when I asked my friends dad (like family) he freaked out at the thought of standing up and having to speak so its put me off asking anyone else:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

78 days to go according to our wedding website :eek:
Have got a meeting with our venue tomorrow to discuss timings for our blessing ceremony at the reception. I have a feeling they are going to try and persuade us we can't do it in the half day hire we orginally booked.
This is what I've come up with, basically instead of 2 hours of drinks/canapes we've got 1 hour after the ceremony which is only going to be a short one;
5.00pm - Arrival
5.30pm - Ceremony
6.00pm - Drinks
7.00pm - Meal then speeches (Groom and FOB)
9.00pm - Drinks & dancing
12.00am - End
What do you all think?
We found a celebrant who will do a ceremony for £250 or a short vow renewal type for £125 which I thought was very reasonable as the other person we contacted wanted £450!
I've also booked with the chair cover lady, will meet her at a wedding fayre at the weekend to discuss.
I did go a bit mad with the retail therapy yesterday... oops! I bought;
- Guestbook
- tags to make escort cards
- personalised wedding stamp
- other stamps (borders etc)
- ink pads for stamps
- purple foil cases for my homemade truffles
- blank purple poker chips
- personalised labels for said poker chips
I still need to buy;
- Ivory satin ribbon for brooch bouquet
- thin purple ribbon for favours
- favour boxes
- placecards
- frame or board and pegs to display escort cards
- sparkly bridal bag (can't decide which one to get!)
- 6" and 12" cake tins, cake boards and dowels for wedding cake
- sprinkles for truffles
Still need to organise;
- poker table/roulette table/blackjack table for reception
- shoes for my sister
- groom's wedding ring
- groom's suit
- finalise centrepieces
Gift list inserts have arrived, vistaprint order being delivered on Monday so hopefully the invitations will go out next week, as long as I finish trimming and mounting them this week! Also additional wires for my brooch bouquet arrived so I need to get on with that as well!
Hmm still quite a bit left to do but I feel better for writing it down! And keeping busy distracts me from all the wedding crap that's going onCross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -

Thank you!! I don't feel organised!
I do have a bit less time as well, 59 days today!
Having the church ceremony sorted will be a big tick as then I can get making Orders of Service which is the last big "batch" of stuff to make.
Having said that, ordering stuff for the flowers and the guys' waistcoats is a big one too...eeekkkk!!
As wedding stuff is getting a bit much I keep getting more excited about our honeymoon at the end of April (Florida i.e. DISNEY!!) and need to remind myself the wedding comes first...lolOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013

Another productive (read expensive!) day so far!
The meeting with the venue went really well, they're letting us have the venue an hour earlier for the ceremony so we don't have to sacrifice the drinks reception :T:T:T
Added a couple of things to my lists that I've thought of, MSE has become my wedding organiser!
IloveaScotsman - sounds like you are on top of everything! And lucky you winning your surgery :T

I just made some evening invitations with my mum, which I don't really enjoy at all, but it was nice to chat.
I am feeling really down and fed up today for some reason! Even though I know I should be excited about the wedding and I am, and I'm sure it will be good, I have lots of worries and part of me just wants it all to go away.0
