April 2013 weddings

Finally!!! Paypal released the hold and un-limited my account last night so I sent the payment again this morning and just got an email from the seller that it was received! Yayyyy!

Now back to waiting 8-12 weeks though

Nothing else much going on at the moment wedding wise, need to get a bit of mojo back but with so much to do before Christmas I think most things will have to wait.

I'm now considering not doing invitations for the wedding, there's going to be so few people it doesn't seem worth it (probably about 20 guests will come, but most are couples and the invites I want need a minimum order of 25... not very MSE!)

Maybe I'll try and do my own although I'd need to find some time first :rotfl:

Daisiegg I know what you mean about the blue I keep getting them on and off it's horrible. Unfortunately babies are a long way off for us now and I'm gutted. OH and me will be living apart for the next 2 years so silly to even consider plus we have just found out due to lots of procedures done to OH as a teenager we might have issues in that area anyway. We haven't looked into getting him tested yet as we're not ready but I keep getting upset about it. So silly I know.

Got my first dress fitting next Wednesday so it all seems a bit more real now.

Had a total hissy fit yesterday over something so stupid but it really annoyed me. One of OH's friends is getting married 2 weeks before us about 200 miles away. I have already said to OH I won't go because I'll have too much to do at that point but said he can go if he wants it'll be about a 300 mile journey for him. The thing that really annoyed me is they didn't even bother to put my name on the stupid invite I have been with OH for 4 years!!! I see this as a real insult am I being a total nut over this?

Do they know you'd already said you won't go? But I suppose either way I'd be pretty annoyed...

No they don't yet. They phoned oh and said about their wedding and could they have our address and that's been it so far.

I know it's something tiny but it's really annoyed me.

I made sure when I sent my sad's I had everyone's name right. Also they could have looked on his Facebook if they were really stuck.

Have to say I'd totally be with you and be annoyed! Unless they're having a small wedding and not inviting plus ones maybe. hmm.

Then why not just send it in his name that wouldn't have bothered me as I have never met them.

But to have OH name & Partner :mad: It's like they just can't be bothered and have only invited me because they have too.

If it makes you feel better, I have been with OH 4.5 years and his aunt and uncle sent last years Xmas card to 'Andy & Partner' yet they speak to his mum every week, they could have asked! Needless to say they are not invited to the wedding!

Skoobie I am soooooo pleased you managed to get the payment for the dress sorted, I bet it feels like it took FOREVER!

It's been another fairly good week wedding wise for me. I had me meeting with the wedding planner lady Wednesday and was really shocked for the second time at how reasonable some people are! She quoted me £50 to go and set up the venue for me, ensure trees arrived etc OR for £62.50 I could have all of my chair covers, sashes, table runners, table plan and placecards in a design to match my theme AND three activity packs for the kids. How cheap is that? :eek:

In addition to that we were talking about my invites as I have made up the wallets for the day ones but done nothing with the evening ones and she said if I take everything to her the week of 10th December we will come up with a design and she will just charge me £10 to do all of the printing, including colour and pictures. That will make my life SO much easier.

Well, the weightloss is getting annoying, I went to Zumba last Friday and then Monday and Tuesday night and weighed myself yesterday to find out I had put on 1lb :mad:. I am thinking that I am not being 100% honest with myself about what I am eating so I have started tracking again on my fitness pal and am really logging EVERYTHING!

I won't try my dress on again until I have lost 8lbs and then I think about 14lb (a stone) will see it fitting really nicely
