Well my joy at ordering my dress has fallen flat; PayPal marked the transaction as possibly fraudulent and reversed it
Have emailed them to get it un-reversed, am waiting to hear back. Debating whether to contact the dress people and let them know what's going on.

Oh my gosh Lovely April brides to be, it has been too long since i last posted, so apologies all. Only five months to go!!!
I have been so busy with work, wedding and honeymoon planning. Life has thrown my fiance and i a few nasty suprises with his father becoming seriously ill and other events, but we are dealing with them as best we can. No wedding drama but i would prefer that over other issues.
So i haven't had time to go through all your many posts since my last post so i assume everyone is progressing well?
Time is going sooooo quickly. Well i feel most wedding arrangements are completed or nearly there. The past couple of months i have-
Bought a suitcase for my wedding dress
Made the buttonholes
Bought the BM gifts
Bought my mums gift & thank you bouquets
Paid the deposit for our reception venue in Cyprus
Groom, father of the bride and half the groomsmen have their tuxedos
Chosen my bouquet for Cyprus
Chosen our wedding cake for Cyprus
and my favourite booked our honeymoon!!!
We are going to L.A, Hawaii- Honolulu, Maui, L.A, Boston then New York. Our last blow out before starting a family.
I will only see my fiance 5 evenings between now and Christmas. My fiance is working here there and everywhere up until the wedding. Must earn the pennies, but i do miss him and it doesn't seem to get easier? With a fabulous honeymoon to look forward to, knowing for 22days it will be just us makes me smile!!
Items outstanding-
Veil
Tiara
Lingerie
Table decorations for here
Send out invitations for reception here
Second pair of wedding shoes(comfy)
Must go as the house work won't do its self unfortunately.
Well done all for keeping the thread going, all your helpful tips, ideas and support!!!0 -

Things are picking up quickly for us all :j:j
I collected my bridesmaid dresses today, they are absolutely stunning. Just alterations to get done on the length but the girls are finished now.
I got black envelopes for my invitations today, I'm hopefully going to make wrap around labels for them to break up the black.
Oh and ive just bought an ivory classic birdcage veil from lily bella, so fingers crossed its lovely.
Just need to get my DD's pumps closer to the time and continue saving and I'm ok I think :cool:0 -
Arghhhhhhhh, I wrote a big post on Monday night and now I can't see it, I must have not have pressed send! What an idiot!
I will try and say it again....
Cathy, your invites are awesome, really funky and modern, I think mounting them is a really good idea, I got a lot of my card etc from PDA, they were really helpful with colour matching etc so give them a try if you get stuck.
Skoobie - I was sharing your dress excitement, sorry to hear Paypal have out a hold on it, it's typical isn't it that the one time you do want them to just let it go through they think it's dodgy. I don't know if the other party gets notified that the payment is being held so it might be worth just letting them know, especially as it's a custom order.
Good news on the cake and bus butterfly
Somethingblue - it sounds like you are really well organised! I really must go through my to do list although it feels like for every thing I cross off, I add at least 4 more.
Well, my dress arrived yesterday! I had the sneakiest of peaks at work and then took it to mums afterwards, it is absolutely spotless! I think she could have sold it to me as being new and I would never have known, there is not a single mark on it that I can find. The only evidence is that the wrist hoop for the train is worn and it's pulled a bit of the netting underneath. I never tried the dress on with a hoop either and I have to say the hoop really makes it, I spent ages standing on a stool 'swishing' it! Mum did a pretty good job of lacing it up too, it literally just fits at the moment, I could do with losing a stone for it to fit nicely and without the modesty panel being right at the end but hopefully that will be relatively do-able. I have put on almost half a stone in 6 weeks from not smoking and I am sure I can lose that before xmas which will be a good start.
Other than that, I am currently flapping about how to have my hair, I have spent hours looking at pictures and websites but I can't find the exact one, I just hope my hairdresser has some ideas when she visits me in January!
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Hey all
I see the wedding plans are moving on well for all.
I have quite a lot to update on! So sorry for the long post! Between work, family life, friends and doing up a house I don’t know how we have managed to do so much!
· Church – Booked - my mum is paying for as she is a church warden and is/has done a lot for the church and that’s come 1st quite a bit. Attending 2 a month for 6 months – just fittign that in!
· Reception – deposit/1st payment paid for. As were getting married so soon we’ve had to pay a fair bit up front but we both love it and can’t wait to show the world our venue! Enjoy a peak now! http://www.mountainscountryhouse.co.uk/
· Catering – now deposit is paid hopefully meeting them sorting out menu and tryign some food!
· Dress – Found THE dress it’s a Mark Lesley dress and I loved ti from the 1st fair I saw it at. I need a hoop its princessy/kate middletony and just LOVE it! I was soo soo lucky that the people making it have agreed to take the order on as it will only come in at the beginning of April. I’m trusting them and the shop to get in do alterations and have it ready but they’ve said they can do it I’m sure they can.
· Shoes – I was a BM 1st october last year they were so comfy for the whole day I’ve decide to use them again
· BM – We are going BM dress shopping on 24th and hopefully will get the whole lot sorted! I have decided to only have 1 BM and 2 little ones. A lot of my friends have said as long as they can hlp with the hen and come to the big day that’s all the matters for them. 1 person I would have had I have found out has just split from her husband of a little over a year after she started cheating on him 4 months into the marriage!!!! This clearly isnt my ideal of upholding your vows so to have her in the bridal party would be quite wrong. Im just hoping she doesn’t expect the new OH to come to any part of the day, especially as she broke the news to me at our engagement drinks and had him in a hotel down the street before shed even broken up with her old OH!
· Save the dates – we have got these and are sendign out at the weekend just need to work out who is on the final list with parents (they’re paying so input will be needed) and off they go. We are sending out both a) dream to have STD magnets and b) we still need to meet the caterers and make our invites before we send them out and don’t want people to get booked up!
· Car – booked and deposit paid for. Had to switch cars as our dream dream one was booked up and we would have to have had an 11am wedding?! Don’t they know how long I take to get ready on a normal night out!?
· Cake – OH’s mum is doing this and. .
· Venue decos – We had bought some centre pieces (like candleabras but not so many arms) a while back and this weekend while I was working OH and his mum went to get some more – this turned into a 200 mile trek around the south east to get the last remaining ones! They are both saints!
· Hair – meeting in next couple of weeks I have not a clue what to have and this will influence tiara/headpeice
· Photo – meet with a couple this week – I like but not love and considering this is our lasting memory of the day we need to get this right.
· Video – think we’ve chosen the company and we’re going to do marryoke to! Hopefully this will make waiting for photos a little more fun – just need to get a great song now!
· Other bits we need to get a move on with
· Invites – think we’ve got we need and colours just need to order
· Photobooth/guest book – again more fun for the guests just need to pick a company
· Sweetie table – costco here we come! Have a lot of the pots etc already
· Mens suits – OH needs to get a move on hopefully hell go this weekend or when im doing BM
Any other bits I could have forgotten in our rush to get married?
Thanks and hope the plans keep going well

Glad everyone's plans are going so well.
I'm going through one of those stupid phases where I just want to cancel the wedding (not the marriage, I hasten to add!). Luckily there is nothing pressing that needs to be done until the new year really so I can just put it to the back of my mind and hope that my wedding mojo comes back. Because right now I am dreading the day0
