Am still awaiting a response from them as to whether they will be able to give me my dress or not, but after speaking to many similar brides outside the shop today, I'm not holding out much hope. Have got wedding insurance thank god, but nothing can be done until the bridal shop give me a definite answer, and that's not looking like its gonna happen soon!!! Arggh!
Have spoken to a bridal shop who can order my dress in for me, to arrive in March (wedding is 6th April) but that's if I order it next week!!!!
(I know it's not important right now but we're date buddiesmaybe I already knew that but had forgotten...)
Really hope you get it sortedmakes me glad my dress is fully paid for and in the shop...even if they go bust it still belongs to me right??
it's scary!

I've met girls today whose dresses are fully paid for, in the shop awaiting collection or final fittings and there's no sign of them! They should get them (according to the website) but people I've spoken to aren't sure :-(0 -

Sheesh what a nightmare! It really scares you doesn't it! Makes me want to grab my dress from the shop, keep it at home and just take it back and forth for fittings! :rotfl:
So feel for youI'm sure you will get something sorted....and do shout if you need your fellow April brides to get on board doing any research or anything.

OK so I've just sat and made a two page list of everything we still need to do...eek! I didn't realise quite how much there still is and how much extra money we need to spend...starting to wonder if maybe we really need the sparkly dancefloor (we definitely do
) I need to stop being so laid back about it all and spend the next couple of weeks in full on wedding planning mode!

SB - Am really sorry to hear about your dress, I really hope that it gets sorted out for you soon so you at least know where you stand xx
Just a quick one from me - some of you may have seen my 'tizz' thread but we have now provisionally booked some historic 14th century vaults for lunch after our ceremony. I decided I didn't want to go to MiLs so that's adding another £500 to the wedding cost but I think it is worth it.
Other than that, I still have done nothing, I have no energy, no desire at all. Have now done 3 weeks smoke free but am having lots of health issues and I don't know whether they are a result of giving up, anxiety, a change in skin medication or a bit of each but am struggling.
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

Oh Jtr you poor thing!
It does sound like a combination of things tbf. Congrats on being smoke free. I know my friend who quit last year said she felt like rubbish for about the first 6 weeks. Don't forget how many toxins are being got rid off out of your system.
I know how you feel about the no energy and no desire I suffer with this a lot myself. I don't have any real tips except take your time and don't stress about itFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
Thanks Faith.
It's just frustrating not knowing what the cause is, I have had such a range of symptoms but the biggest problem is a complete lack of decent sleep, I think in 3 weeks I have had 2 good nights and I am absolutely shattered. My mum (bless her) got me some Bachs sleep remedies and I tried one last night, it made me VERY sleepy but then I didn't actually sleep so I was like a zombie this morning and then started having palpitations/panic attack which is so unlike me . I am one of those people who really does need sleep too so I am on the edge of turning into a crazy person!

I'm the same I had hardly any sleep last week thanks to my neighbour and her alarm grrr
Have you tried a herbal sleeping tablet. I normally get mine from Boots or Superdrugs. They seem to work quite well without all the nasty side effects.First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
I feel your pain jtr, I'm a 'need sleep' kind of person as well. All the thing below are stuff I've learned to try and get me to sleep when it's just not happening!
I use melatonin if I'm not sleeping, not sure if it's available here, I get mine from the US. Before I discovered that I used valerian, which I think you can get from Boots etc.
I've used both, and although they may not make me fall asleep any sooner, I feel like the sleep I did have was 'better' or longer that it actually was, if that makes sense. No side affects for me from either.
I used to have a few of cans of diet coke throughout the day then I stopped having any caffeine after about midday (most days none at all, during the week anyway!) and it made a huge difference, maybe try cutting down on tea/coffee? but if you drink loads usually though it might be better not try this cause you might get withdrawal symptoms.
Try and have half to an hour of 'quiet time' before you want to sleep, no TV etc so you can wind down. Oh and If I'm trying to sleep and my mind won't stop I count to 20 and back down to 1, then 40 and back and then 60 and back. I've never made it to the end of the last, always fall asleep before then!
You probably know all this already but if not HTH and fingers crossed you get some sleep tonight.Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -
