This thread is way too quiet considering we all get married in around 8 months!
We have our appointment to give notice on the 13th of September - our original wedding date for next year and an appointment to arrange our evening reception which is on the 10th. I think I will also be meeting with the artificial florist at some point next month.
Watching a few bits on Ebay for reception decorations and need to get a few bits from the floristry warehouse next time I go. I spent last Saturday mocking up a wedding invite and sticking diamantes to vistaprint business cards as favour tags :rotfl:

I'm going to look at BM dresses with CM on Sat can't wait might actually find one I like at last
Had to chase for poss RSVP's this week and I don't know if any of you saw my other thread I am NOT a happy bunny with certain members of our families at the moment  OH cousin & gf have said they can't come but the reason they gave is one they would have know ages ago but only told me when I chased.
I have couples splitting up left right and centre so I don't know who is coming with who now. I'm sooooo confused (not that that's anything new but it's step up a gear now)First Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -

I agree - I am useless for restarting the convo. Sorry.
Ooh, flowers are good. I've no idea how to make my own, but I've seen a bouquet I like now:
http://pinterest.com/pin/275001120967185116/ I think my MOH's one will be more expensive tho as she doesn't like flowers so will have to be full crystal - e.g. http://www.couturecollections.co.uk/images/BridesmaidsBouquets/BMB-CC-2011.05.10-2.03-720x720.jpg
I went back up north at the weekend - ended up meeting with a venue dresser who couldn't understand the concept of a non-formal meal in a venue without a wedding co-ordinator! Found another one nearby who does some cheaper, nicer things, so (after crashing a kids birthday party to measure table, bar and room sizes!) I'm having everything on this link lol http://pinterest.com/jesobelle/venue-dressing-sportsman/
Still not sure how to cover up that bar and reception desk though- thinking of buying some fabric and clipping on using tablecloth clips - or maybe sticking lengths of shimmer curtain or...oh well.
My drinks voucher business cards from vistaprint came too:beer:

Sorry to hear you are having guest issues. Have you already sent your invites out then? I haven't even sent my STDs yet, I have them sitting on my fridge but that's as far as they have gotten!

Love the venue dressing, looks really smart and wedding-y without being OTT! I like the bouquet too, the lady who I want to do mine does the crystal ones, she doesn't have a website but her facebook page is Floral Dreamz - Silk Wedding Flowers, might good for some inspiration (she does post too if you did want to buy from her).
I am in that middle ground of liking so many things and wanting to buy them all but trying to be sensible and budget concious at the same time. So far, everything, excluding rings, is coming in at well under £3,000 and I am scared I am being TOO budget concious and not allowing myself little things that I want. Currently having a tiara flap, I bought a lovely one at a wedding fair but now I keep looking at side tiaras
On the plus side, the best mans GF is a hair dresseer (which I knew) and when we went out for a meal on Sunday she offered to do all the hair for us. I would never have asked her to but she seems really happy to, she is the wedding specialist in a posh salon so I know she is good and it's so kind of her to offer. If my other friend wasn't due to give birth 6 weeks before the wedding I would have taken her up on her offer to do make up - then I would have had the whole lot free :rotfl:
I think we have decided that after the ceremony we will go to MILs for a little lunch, she lives the closest to the ceremony venue and there is enough parking space for people. My mum offered but she is on the wrong side of town and it's all permit parking. I asked OH if he thought she would mind and he told me she had already hinted at doing it anyway (before we even decided we were going to!). I am not sure she knows what she has let herself in for, I am a fussy mare and I don't want your normal sausage rolls and quiche...I want smoked salmon, french bread, parma ham and melon, tempura prawns and all washed down with pink champagne :rotfl:. Quite happy to pay for it all but needless to say, I can't do the prep!

I sent my SAD's out in March to give everyone a years notice due to the distance involved and so they could look into it.
I asked if people definately couldn't come could they let me know by July so we could invite other people I'm still waiting for most of his family to get back to me
We were only allowed 80 guests and this is going to sound horrible we had our main list and a reserve list so if people on main list couldn't come we could move people over (that sounds so horrible doesn't it)
My invites are going out Mid Sept to meet the 6 month markFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
OMG I don't even know 80 people! I spent a lot of time worrying about the fact our wedding is so small but I have to say I am glad we did it the way we are now, it's just best friends and family to the ceremony and for buffet and then other friends to our evening reception which is two weeks later. It means I get to spread the stress! :rotfl:
Thought I would upload a pic of my daughters bridesmaid dress, the flash went off so the colour is wrong, it's more of a plum/aubergine colour:
It has a little pull on the right hand side at the top so we are going to get a little brooch to cover it up. The bow is actually on the shoulder strap, it's got just one.
It's such a nice dress and a bargain at £25, she looks like a young women in it, she's 12!

You are so organised! All that's changed from my above list is venue dresser booked and make-up lady booked. So much still to do...
My friend's hen this weekend, that I organised. It's weird taking a weekend off being bride to be, and concentrating on someone else's nuptuals.0
