I definitely go through spates of no mid-week drinking, followed by plenty of mid-week drinking.....not that I am a lush you understand, by plenty I mean I may go through a bottle across the week when the intention was to refrain:D

I'm so glad that Vala queried your £15 MOPs Ed, as I was wondering how on earth you were managing this (whilst feeling wholly inadequate of course;))

Currently trying to decide if it's technically possible to watch Sports Personality without wine .

GG - as it's Christmas Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve. I say go for it (although probably best not to use me as your 'litmus paper' regarding this type of decision;))

Morning all - feeling very :rudolf:

I have a day off today with Mrs E. We are going to watch the Hobbit in 3D, but I need a bit of a groom first. I am looking decidedly like a sasquatch - a bit beardy and hair flying everywhere. I only get my hair cut every 8 weeks or so, so oscillate between looking incredibly kempt and unkempt :rotfl:

Tickets booked online - so discount for that, cashback through £co, clubcard points and a mini stooze into the bargain :T We'll pick up some sweets at £land in the way in. It's just round the corner from the cinema and I suspect that they do a roaring trade in people who don't want to pay £2.45 for a bag of Skittles!

Payday on the 20th, so running low on pennies and will try not to spend anything else in town. £15 payments into the OP Pot and EF this morning.

    Have a great day all.

Oh my word - the Hobbit could have done with losing 50% in editing! A lovely looking film, but it dragged because of their cynical decision to make a relatively short book into multiple films.

Mrs E and I ended up buying some drinks for a party we're attending, so that's me officially skint. £4.15 to last until Thursday? :D

Not to worry, £15 payments to OP Pot and EF made, now to survive silly work event ;)
  • Ages since been to cinema. DD1 and 2 went to see twilight a few weeks ago, used my odeon points so was free, its so much better when things are free! Obviously sweeties already bought!

Work event was pants, as was my driving lesson when I failed my imaginary driving test about 20 times :o Methinks that 7 cups of coffee, a bad mood and driving around Ibrox moments before the gates opened for a home game wasn't the best idea? Highlights included:
    • Going up a steep hill to a roundabout directly behind a bus
    • Taking the wrong turning at a junction so that I ended up on one of the busiest roads into the city centre
    • Missing an unmarked crossroads
    • Going onto a roundabout when it wasn't safe to do so
    • Carrying out a turn in the road when some git decided to park *exactly* where my turn was going to take me, making it a 5 point turn
    • A crazy lady parked on the wrong side of the road launching herself into the flow of traffic at me
    • Missing a filter light
    • Trying to drive off at traffic lights in 3rd gear

Thank goodness I have 10 days off driving - yesterday was not a good lesson!

TCB have paid out for our broadband switch, so paid a bumper £34.19 into both the OP Pot and the EF today :)

Payday tomorrow, it can't come soon enough.
  • And....relax....

After you have had a break, it will all be better.

This time of year is so fraught.
