    Cheers Lulabelle!

I forgot the main point of MFW - the Ops ;)

£42.50 into both the OP Pot and the EF today, getting very close to having to send Santander a cheque.

£15 to OP Pot and EF, that's me pretty much out of 'spare' money left over from our driving lessons. Tomorrow's OP will be pretty feeble, but Mrs E gets paid on Christmas Eve, which will allow for something a bit more chunky :)

    Have a good day all.
  • Hi Ed

I've just finished reading your thread and wanted to congratulate you on your progress so far! I also wanted to let you know that i have a Santander mortgage but I send overpayments electronically and they only have to be over £100. It may be worth looking in to.

Absolutely! Thanks for the tip :) Did you have to phone them to arrange to make electronic payments? It would allow me to OP so much faster and would save a lot of faff.

Our party yesterday was a massive success - the biggest catastrophe is the fact that my niece (a toddler) seems to have covered everything in icing :D We had a great time, with me doing most of the prep in the morning and with Mrs E doing all of the tidying up in the evening, as I had had a few too many to be of much help :o Feeling fine this morning after some aspirin.

£6 payments into the OP Pot and the EF today, Mrs E gets paid tomorrow and we're off out again tonight. The festive season is great, but am I the only person who feels like they need a holiday to recover from it?
  • I've PMd you with the account details. You need to ring them every time you send a payment as say whether you want it to go off the term or to lower your payment. Also don't send it too close to you normal payment date as they'll just take it off your normal payment.

    Bad things:
    • Nowhere near as much spare money as I'd expected this month, Christmas is *so* expensive
    • Lost my mobile phone last night :( As it would cost £80 to replace, I'll need to wait 'til my contract renews in April to get another. Will hopefully cadge a loan of an old one from a family member

    Good things:
    • Had a wild night out with friends last night - cocktails, chat and a trip to a nightclub. Mrs E and I had never? been to one together in the 6 years we've been a couple, think she was surprised that I can vaguely dance :rotfl:
    • It's Christmas eve!

Should point out that the phone didn't go missing because of the wild night out - it appears to have been lifted from my coat pocket that had been safely deposited in the cloakroom.

£8 payments to the OP Pot and EF today.

Have a lovely Christmas all - not expecting to be back online before Boxing Day

    Hi Ed!

Moving has been a killer and internet access less than plentiful, hence the lack of communication from this side. Still, I managed to make it just in time to wish you and Mrs E a very merry Christmas and the best of possible starts to the new year.

:snow_laug :xmassmile :rudolf: Enjoy! :rudolf: :xmassmile :snow_laug

Thanks Pickle - I hope you had a lovely Christmas?

We had a good time, with loads of lovely gifts, fantastic food from chef FIL and general good humour. Slightly tarnished by Mrs E's sister grumping around the place like a spoiled teen (she's 30), but most of the grown ups ignored it :p

Back home now to enjoy presents, relax and generally take it easy. Might pop into town tomorrow, but not making any rash promises!

Got a little bit of Christmas money, £7.50 to OP Pot and £7.50 to EF.

Pretty good, thanks: the odd down, but mostly ups! :D

I need to get a new bedding set for the flat and swap the slow cooker I bought before Christmas that isn't doing the trick for me, but other than that I won't be overdoing it in the sales this year (apart from maybe picking up a few things that can be used a prezzies later on in the year).

This may mean that I'm nearly a grown-up, Ed! :p

As for the rest, gaw but does my flat need a major sort out! *faints*

Enjoy the rest of your festive period, and speak soon. x
