I do hope you note that in your diary / file so you can refer back to it when you are asked again.

I would be tempted to tut back at her - with a smile to see if she bites

Everything is noted, if I see here again, I will thank her for the material she has given me for my assignment article!

I ran out of steam yesterday evening and didn't write up about the job application part of my life. I also got stuck into the Apprentice, I am a total addict! It's because most of what they do on the tasks is what I am a so called expert in, marketing. It's the only programme that makes me shout at the television. Perhaps Alan Sugar would like to sponsor my book.

An email dropped in from a recruiter who had found me on Linkedin and has a role he thinks is interesting. Indeed, it is. This is the third recruiter that has contacted me about the same job. I'm allowing all of them to put my cv forward for the role. I'm not sure that's the right thing to do, morally. However, my thinking is the client might think I'm worth seeing if so many different recruiters are promoting me. I'm not sure where this leaves the recruiters on their commission, but to be honest I don't care. I've been careful not to sign any exclusivity agreements and it's all about me! They're not interested in me as anything other than a commodity, I shall use them accordingly.

I also applied for a local year long contract with the council. It took some major tweaking of my experience base as it's an internal communications role rather than external. I'm sure I can do it, but whether I get an interview is another matter. It was a painful two hour slog at an automated form that asked so many questions. They know more about me than my ex-husband now...

I dont usually watch the Apprentice, but got hooked last night, think Alan fired the right person, I was yelling at the TV just to shut her up, she was really rude and kept interrupting Alan, I wouldnt have been so polite

Fingers and paws crossed for the job applications, sounds hopeful if the three recruiters are putting you forward :)

The phone isn't ringing! However, one of the recruiters said he was flying to Scotland today, so he might not be able to call. The web is overflowing with that job now, it's on all the sites, which means there will be loads of applicants, but I was contacted by them, so I must be in with a chance!

fingers crossed about the job Piq, both of the jobs really.
don't worry about the phone ringing as they're probably so overawed at the fact that you'd be perfect for the role that they're still trying to come to terms with it and picking themselves up off t'floor.

    Hi Piq,
Just be sure you know which recruiter contacted you first and confirmed you had been put forward. As a recruiter there is nothing more annoying than having the same CV three times and having to work back to figure out which one was first then make sure you tell the others to stop arguments down the line.
If there are loads of job ads for the same position then they are desperate and hate all recruitment companies so they have chucked it at all of them.
Best of luck and woof bark from the Puplet here to encourage them to make their minds up!
