    Hi Piq
I know you don't 'do' hugs, but I send you my very best wishes, hate to think of you being sad after all your battles. We somehow managed to keep five horses through our ten year legal battle; it was very, very, very hard, we were cold and sometimes a bit hungry, but they never were. All that mattered to us was winning our battle (which we did, eventually) and keeping our equine 'family' together. We obviously could not have done it if we had not had our own land - I don't know where you live, but is there any chance you could move a bit further away from "civilization" (LOL) and get a place with a paddock? If you're somewhere with high house prices, it might be worth a ponder. Otherwise, moving to live nearer the Captain sounds like a good plan; your friend he now stays with sounds lovely. Does anyone ride him?
Sorry to hear you dropped your moisturiser down the bog - I've been using Ald*'s Q10 stuff for a couple of years now, I think it is about £1.49 ... it's excellent!
And no, it's not all about the money, is it? It's about kindness, and treating other people how you would like/hope to be treated yourself.

Morning, nothing useful to add I'm afraid but sending hossie hugs :) I can imagine it must be awful without the captain, I couldnt imagine life without my hossie.

You are so positive and pro-active with things I am sure you will be able to come up with a plan :D

Sending you lots of warmest wishes. Your kindness has to be rewarded, you are clearly the kind of person who would give your last crust to someone in need.

From one who knows what it is to get that call from Oz, it does get easier and knowing they are happy clearly helps. It hurts at times but the sign of a good mum is bringing them up secure enough in themselves to feel confident enough to fly so far from the nest

I hope one day, your kindness is reward and enables you to spend more time with the Captain and see more of your DD

    My thoughts are with you

  • Your daughter will be back - so pleased shes happy - and as a mum I know its tears at your heart to miss your kids, no matter what their ages.

As for the captain, he is there for you for you to visit. He is not ill, or pining, and is perfectly ok right now with Noah. So once you work out how you two can get closer together, it will happen. Something has to change as you want it so much. All the good things you do for other people will make it happen.

Get Colin into advertising or something. :) x

Is husbandpet going OMG at your knickers or lack of them.......

Husbandpet goes OMG at the fact that all my knickers are functional and comfortable where he wants me to wear fancy matching underwear. Told him if he wants me in anything like that to buy it for me :rotfl:.

Highs and lows for you emotionally this week and I completely agree that your good deeds will indeed be paid back to you and hopefully tenfold.

With regards to your daughter, I made that same phone call to my family however I wasn't going to not use my return ticket. I ended up back with them for 7 weeks and husbandpet (boyfriendpet at that time) flew out to meet them and get the seal of approval. It was the hardest decision that I've ever had to make and to this day 7 years later every time I speak with them either via Skype or phone I end up crying and so do they (getting choked up now :o). My family have always supported me in everything and can see how happy I am with husbandpet and how well we 'fit'.

I always say that if it was possible I would create Alioops' Island which would have my family, friends and the best of both countries (definitely Aussie weather) all together in one place. Now just got to win the lotto to buy an island and get everyone to agree to relocate :rotfl:.

Hubby and I have agreed that our next trip over will be for my sister's 40th in 2 years time but that we won't tell her and surprise her like she surprised me at our wedding. By that time it will have been approx 4/5 years since going over.

I understand what you're going through and if you ever want to chat just pm me.
