Morning Twiglet!
The pots are for outside although last week a lady bought one for indoors, so either or, I suppose
I have masses of nicotiana and pinks in my garden, all are highly scented. There are plenty of pinks around that have a lot of scent, believe it or not I got mine from B&Q on a buy two get one free, combines with 25% off offer! I have them planted around the patio area, scent is amazing. The nicotiana I grew from seed, easy! I think the secret is not to drown them in barrels....
The Bear's churn is waiting for his pinks to flower, his white winter pansies are still flowers and tumbling down the sides. He looks lovely!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

The plan was to go and see the Captain for the weekend, but I had to garden on Saturday because of my bad back on Tuesday
So I went for the day yesterday, left Colin with a bowl of biscuits in the garden and a bird bath full of water [why drink clean water, when there's a gallon of manky water for the drinking?]
The Captain was pleased to see me, as before he trumpeted his joy from the top of the field and charged down as fast as his hairy legs would carry him with poor Noah going what? what? behind him :rotfl: We walked back to the yard with him breathing in my ear and whickering private messages of horsey love
What did I do in return to show my love? I bathed him [and Noah] I think they both enjoyed it as it was so hot, must have been a cooling relief for both of them. They both smelled of lavender and were spotless until they went back to their field where they both rolled around to get themselves as near their original state as possible:rotfl:
I miss him so much.
Colin was fine by himself for the day, although he was at pains to point out that the huge bowl of biscuits were gone and he was starving. I think he might have been on some undercover cat mission as he was covered in seeds and burrs, either that or he snoozed the day away under some bushes somewhere.
Now it's back to the daily life of gardening or coffee shopping and today the coffee shop wins out.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Sounds like a super day with the captain.
Our cats would also find the manky water in the plant pot saucers rather than drink the bowl of fresh water.

I didn't post yesterday as I was sad, today I'm better so I can tell you why. I miss the Captain, everyday I miss him. From seeing him everyday to once in a while is hard, very hard. Also I think it very unlikely he will ever come home, he is so attached to Noah to separate them would be cruel and I can't afford one horse let alone two. My friend has said he has a home for life there, but also if I want to take him home I can take Noah too as he would be just as upset at losing the Captain.
I'm thinking about saving up the money to repair the house and sell it to move nearer to him. But it all comes down to debts and money.
Talking of money, I'm really not very good at this business malarky. I helped my frail 85 year old gardening customer cement in a post holder thingy for his trellis. I couldn't bear to watch him struggling. I had finished his gardening. He wanted to pay me as it had taken quite a bit of time. As far as I was concerned it was helping a friend and I refused the money. He told me off and said I wasn't a very good business woman [he was laughing] Life's not all about money though, is it? - and this comes from a woman who wants to be able to afford to bring her horse home :rotfl:
I also painted up and posted free of charge a saucer for one of my pots I sold. The lady had written me such a lovely thank you note and it turned out my lizard pot was going to live inside. So I said I'd send her a saucer. It was only painted, no design on it, not a big deal at all.
And I bought a homeless man a cup of coffee.....All in all, I'm out of pocket this week and it's only Wednesday :rotfl:
Last night I dropped my moisturiser down the toilet, why didn't I close the lid before???? Looks like a trip to B00ts, luckily I have £30 in points, but very annoying as it could have been avoided
My daughter phoned from Australia and she's not coming home in August as promised, she's staying out there indefinitely. I don't know when I'll see her againOn the plus side she is very happy
Coffee shop day today. It's raining so I don't mind too much. Tomorrow is a full on gardening day, so let's hope for no rain on ThursdayTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
