You are all so good to me, thank you. A day doesn't go past without my thinking about the Captain. Yes, he's very happy in his bromance with Noah and has many daily boy kisses :happyhear He is always pleased to see me, he tends to ignore all other humans unless they are carrying a food bucket ;)

Hello tunathe cat, hope you're feeling better now. Not sure about the cat kisses though, fishy breath and all that!

Ah GreenNinja the reason you can't find any pots is because there aren't any listed :o I have a deep seated hatred of eb@y and any excuse to not list is used :o I will put a couple more up when there's a free listing though.

    Today has been mostly green.

I have painted a parsley pot, it is pale washed yellow with a painting of parsley, or an artistic representation of parsley :p and has a ladybird on the 'E' of parsley. I've also stuck a homemade green lizard to a broken piece of pottery and painted my house number on it. Tomorrow I may photograph them to show you. They sound odd but I quite like them. The parsley pot is for one of my gardening customers to show off her homegrown parsley :)

The other green stuff was masses of weeding in a couple of gardens and a visit to a garden centre with another customer to help her buy easy plants for her garden - I have to plant them all up on Saturday  I was very sensible and didn't take any money with me, just as well as I would have walked out with a beautiful white hydrangea.... Unfortunately, I have to go back on Saturday to collect the plants....

Yesterday I was chatting to one of the customers in the coffee shop. I was being rebellious as we're not supposed to chat! And it turns out he is an interior designer and he is interested in my pots and wants to see photos. I was very mean to the hellcow and didn't introduce her to him, she was very taken with him, an exceptionally handsome man and she fancied her chances. The hellcow sees herself as a femme fatale. Fatal flaw, if you ask me!

Oh and the elderly unwashed coffee shop customer asked me out on a date :eek::eek: I have said no before you all ask. Never in a million years I'm afraid :rotfl:

  • Hello Piq, glad to see today is not as bad. It's not nice when you miss family (Captain included in that i suspect) I cried and cried when my son went off to school for weeks on end :( ...your generosity towards others is lovely and i'm sure all that good you are spreading around will come back to you :) lots of hugs, and I hope you can work something out to see Captain more xx

Sorry that you have been feeling down. I hope that given time you will be able to be nearer to your beloved Captain and that you will be able to have lots of Skype time with your daughter.

Your Parsley pot sounds lovely. Today I eventually got around to planting up my Chicken pot, I have been so busy in the garden and with seeds and self sown plantlets to move that I hadn't managed to do it. It is resplendent with three most fragrant (very pink in colour) Pinks.

I ended up with rather an excess of Rudbeckia Marmalade seedlings, I potted on around 30 and must have had 80 or so left, my fine motor skills can be a bit hit and miss sometimes and too many seeds got into the tray:o I put a note on Freegle and had so many replies, so they have all gone and a lovely lady brought me some of her excess Feverfew and Sunflower Vanilla Ice in return.

I really like my lizard house number, he is next to my attempt at a distressed pot that houses a chamomile, amazing aroma!

The parsley pot; looks very green, not sure that I should have done the word 'parsley' in green too.

It's tough but not nearly as difficult as some people's lives out there. Both are happy and well and that's all you can want for anyone you love

Excellent choice! I adore pinks I don't like the modern ones that have had the perfume bred out of them.

I like the idea of having a bit of everyone plantwise in your garden, makes the plants so special. My mum and I swap plants all the time. I also have cuttings from all the gardens I do and have given them plants from my garden. I have a lovely verbena bonariensis taken from a dear friend's garden, my friend is no longer with us but I have a permanent memorial to her winding through my roses.

Next year we could attempt swapping plants via the post office, it will be an interesting experiment :rotfl:

    G'day Piq

Just popping on to mention that it's free listing on the 13 to 14 July so you've got no excuses now and with them changing their photo policy it's going to be even cheaper.

I'll go run and hide from you lol.

I love the Lizard and ALL the pots, not too green for me.

Had a day out today, OH (and the real MM) and I have been to Aberdovey, first time either of us had been there, it was lovely. Until 18 months ago we lived 8 miles from the sea, now it is 70, but we do not miss it as much as we thought we would.

Got home, dashed to bathroom, (too much tea in our picnics:eek:), then of course went to see what has been happening in the garden while I was away (a whole 8 hours LOL), and find that a lovely Common Frog has taken up lodgings in my cold frame, not sure if he was the one that OH found in the Spring sitting on the rim of his bike wheel, he is very welcome, now have to keep the four legged one away from him.

Hope that you have had a better day today, 25 degrees here.

Run and hide - I'll still find you...

Actually I had an email from the bay of E and have the chance to list up to 200 items this weekend

Can you imagine listing that many items? I'd go completely round the bend :rotfl:

...and I have actually used the opportunity for free listing and put several pots up there. Not too many mind, don't want to overdo it!

Yesterday I planted up a whole herbaceous border, I thought I would expire in the heat, luckily I had a decent client who kept bringing me out jugs of iced water:T We had been to the garden centre on Thursday and chosen the plants so all I had to do was pick them up and plant them. Sanity reigned supreme and I refused to be tempted by any plants there. My only spend was £5 on three pairs of gardening gloves, they are the jersey ones that normally retail for £6 a pair. I already have a couple of pairs [a £6 a pair] and like them a lot, so money well spent :T

I had coffee with my dad this morning in town, we had a lovely time as there were some singers performing near where we were sitting. Dad loves all the operatic arias so we ended up staying until almost lunchtime when they finished.

Other than that I'm just enjoying the weather. I'll water the garden later when the sun moves away from it and my neighbour's ghastly visitors leave!
