I had a cat called Einstein before the Bear, he caught a frog once and couldn't spit it out quick enough, apparently they taste horrid :rotfl: Hopefully the four-legged one will leave him alone.

Our Cats keep bringing me presents of slow worms - most mornings there is on lying perfectly still on cold slate floor in kitchen. Few seconds in hand and they begin to move and so its trek to bottom of the garden in PJs to let them go to find sanctuary in dry stone wall - had 5 so far and that are not the same one!

Is Colin some sort of cat hero? A cat pin-up? This is the cat that Cat's Protection said was a cat bully :rotfl:I think as he has settled down in a new home and is fed regularly [and often] that he doesn't feel the need to fight for his food, that's all.

We had similar advice form RSPC* when we got Big Cat from there - he is not a sociable cat and will not tolerate others - him and Little Cat ( brought into home a few years later) cuddle up together every night after their ritual dodgy wrestling. And both cats invite every tabby in the village for play dates - tabby only mind you - everything else gets seen off!

Courgettes are nice and easy. You need a fairly large pot, Asd@ are doing buckets at the moment for £1, that size, or indeed, that bucket! Punch some holes in the bottom and you're away. Alternatively, a grow bag will do just as well, very cheap at Asd@

Beg, borrow or steal some compost and put your new baby in. Water in well and watch it take over the patio! If you can run to it, some tomato feed will give you plenty of courgettes, you don't need the leading make any tomato food will do.

    Tempura courgette flowers are lovely....

My wardrobe has severe shrinkage problems! I feel your pain.

Nothing quite as painful as a tight waistband when you're bending down! The red welting round the spare tyre is another thing I could do without.

And mine! To make matters worse, there is an imposter riding my horse ... the mirrors round the arena tell me that she is fatter and older than I am, and has a worse lower leg position than I have - the cheek of it!!!

So that's where the imposter went. She used to ride the Captain and pretend to me. Horribly fat in too tight breeches.

That sounds like a reasonable explanation. Is there a spray you can buy to fumigate the wardrobe?

I am guessing that the cat rescue organisations only see the cat when it's afraid and disorientated, naturally, they will be more aggressive. When Colin brings the right cat home I will happily become a two cat family :) Just as long as it's not a lion or tiger that is!

The courgettes come from the flowers. They are about the easiest vegetable to grow as long as you water them! Morning and evening in the current weather conditions.

I have another potential new gardening customer :T Dear frail gentleman customer has been recommending me at his bowls club. I just have to phone to make an appointment, embarrassingly I've only just remembered :o Today we planted out a climbing rose together, he was allowed to help me get it out the pot :rotfl:

Very hot work, I wish I didn't drip sweat, always feels so unattractive.

Also sold a pot, the parsley one. The lady seemed very thrilled with it. I had to help her plant the parsley and get the best angles so she could send photos of it to her friends :rotfl:

Other than that, not a lot else. I've washed every throw/bedspread/duvet in the house over the last few days. Need to take advantage of the good drying weather. Managed to push the vacuum cleaner round. Colin is busy bringing in leaves that he drops everywhere. This evening I've been pulling sticky round seeds off his belly, periodically he's belted me with his paw when he feels I've pulled too hard. He's a good boy as he doesn't put his claws out :T

Tomorrow's an early start at the coffee shop so it's unlikely I'll be on here until the evening and that will depend on how draining the heat of working in the shop is.

Where has the evening gone, it's coming up bedtime and I haven't done the paperwork - Heyho, I wasn't going to anyway :rotfl:
