Washing is out on the line, lovely sight - shame it turns into ironing :(.

What is this ironing that you speak of :rotfl:. Our dryer blew up a couple of months ago and since then we've been having to line dry as husbandpet is useless with anything mechanical so I've developed a new way of hanging things out on the line and all I'm doing is putting t-shirts, dresses and anything that would hang on a coat hanger and then pegging the hanger to the line.

Means that stuff is drying and saves me having to bring it in, sort it and then hang it now I just have to hang it as the item is already on the hanger.

Sounds like you've had a lovely weekend and sometimes thinking and reflecting are a good thing.

As an owner of a Piq original I would definitely recommend you stop comparing your pots to mass produced items that'll probably fall apart very quickly. I second or third looking at Etsy and any other suggestions made above.

    What about something like notonthehighstreet.com??

I hadn't thought of that one. Thank you! Etsy take 3.5% and charge a small amount for listing. I need to get all the costings together to do a proper analysis [except I'm not very good at maths :o]

Probably just as well your dryer blew up, not very mse :naughty: I do hang stuff on hangers, but I have a tendency to wear linen or cotton shirts for gardening and they do need an iron unfortunately :o

Still thinking, just about there. I will let you know what I'm up to soon - promise!

Gardening today. I've already filled a couple of bottles with filtered water. I've started buying filters again as they make the water and coffee taste better and they're much cheaper than bottled water in the long run. You can get a good deal on bulk buying.

I really ought to do some housework, at least sweep up the leaves and seeds that make their way in via Colin. Hey, but if I leave it a while longer it'll be a more satisfying job, I'll really see the difference then.

Strawberry and banana smoothie for breakfast, masses of fruit brought home from work, nothing wrong with it other than it didn't meet standards, but the strawberries will need using today. Luckily I love them!

Have only bought milk since Thursday, pretty good going. Mainly thanks to being able to bring food home from the coffee shop, salads mainly which are brilliant for the weather we're having. Last night I had a feta and roasted vegetable salad. The food is binned if it's not sold and always freshly made during the day. It would silly not to take advantage of it.

Right off to make my smoothie and have a shower, gardening beckons...

I know :o but I do love drying things in the dryer and in the house we're in now we don't have a banister (bungalow) and only enough rooms to actually live in so might have to either get it repaired, buy a new one or go to the local laudromat to dry.

We don't own an iron or ironing board and as much as I keep telling husbandpet to buy me one he doesn't take me seriously for some reason but I honestly do get the urge to iron and will quite happily do it for hours on end. I think my record was 5 hours straight once .

Loving the 'rescued' food approach very :money: .

Have you had a look at Am4zon as a place to list your pots. Husbandpet is going to look at putting his books on there as they're not selling at all on ebay.

Will leave you to your musings but please do update us.

I have a heated airer, it was very efficient during the winter and I got everything dried. Very inexpensive too, although the initial outlay was a bit scary. It paid for itself in the savings on the electricity bill. L@keland sell them, although I'm sure you can get them elsewhere.

A brief pop in as it's Wednesday. A coffee shop day :D And tonight DS1 and girlfriend are taking me out to dinner :T I'm to choose where, so I've chosen and printed off the vouchers :T Just because they're paying doesn't mean spending any unnecessary cash.

Yesterday was gardening and I was struggling in the heat, I was dripping, despite drinking loads. Tying in a vicious rose with sweat dripping in your eyes is not an ideal past-time :rotfl:

I watched Love Your Garden last night, I'd love to be able to do something like that, but oh my goodness, how much did it cost:eek: The lady who the garden was made over for was lovely and very deserving, there are some wonderful people among us.

I suppose I'd best get on and ready for work. Have a good day!

Hullo! I too have physical work to do (stables, garden + neighbour's same ..) and am struggling with the heat. I have been putting a nearly full plastic bottle in the freezer overnight and taking it around with me - very cooling applied to the back of the neck (or anywhere else) and I drink the very cold water as it melts. Hope your day goes well, and you have a lovely dinner out.
