I am quite happy in the staff room by myself. I only get 15 minutes break in a six hour shift. In that 15 minutes I have to choose my lunch, get a coffee made, climb three flights of steep stairs, eat my lunch, descend the stairs, have a wee and not be a minute over the 15 or I will be on warning:eek: I don't want to waste any time talking to anyone!

Haven't heard back from the insurers, I suppose I'd better give them a day or so to respond, but I will follow up with a letter in case my phone call got lost.

Dorothy, I'll find some recipes for you at the weekend, somewhere on this thread there's a recipe for muffins, complete with photos, fail-safe and light and yummy. Several folk have made them and will testify that they are okay.

Talking of cake, I just watched the last of Mrs Brown's Boys. Was crying with laughter over the swingers and microwave cake. It was the best episode in the series.

Very little to report on I'm afraid. I jumped the Captain on Sunday, or maybe it would be more correct to say he jumped me. A small course of jumps had been setup, so we dropped the jumps to the lowest setting and off he went. He tanked round, refusing to do them in the order requested, refusing to stop and he had a whale of a time! Not sure that I did. In his day he would do a clear round in the fastest possible time. Nowadays his back legs don't come up so he can only manage the lowest jumps, but he doesn't notice, he's happy to jump. I felt fantastic when everyone said they couldn't believe he's 27.

Colin ate my apple pie that was defrosting on the side. What with the bird seed he's eating in the garden I have no chance of slimming him down, no chance at all....

Apple pie...good lord that cat is amazing! Thought they were meant to be carnivores:rotfl:

Fingers crossed re insurance company and a sensible outcome for you....have to say Pret's payroll systems seems to have no QA procedures at all though. Considering how critical a process it is, that stinks.

Everyone raves about Mrs Brown's Boys. I think I'm the only person in the world who hasn't seen it. Best put it on my 'to do' list.

Bad Colin ! I hope you grounded him :rotfl:

Agreed that was a brill episode - very funny and the singing at the end was a bonus. Am sure the announcer said at the end that it wouldn't be back on till Xmas which is miles away :p

Naughty Colin, can't imagine he enjoys bird seed . Guess you'll have to get used to defrosting everything in Colin proof containers!
