I'm afraid my attitude is 'keep your hands to yourself....' minimum wage and all that :)If I was younger and prettier, I'd charge for the pleasure :p

OMG Piq that pizza sounds so yummy. I really must have a go at making my own - is it difficult to make the dough? Is it very fattening? I should google it.

Everything that is nice is fattening....I use my breadmaker to make the dough, then stretch it out, chuck on the toppings and bake, as simple as that!
As I am determined to be a proper 'rounded' granny I am determined that my grandchildren shall be taught to:
very easy to be rounded if you do your own baking :(
grow things in the garden (will have to do a crash course in veg growing though - currently can only grow flowers)
If you can grow flowers, you can grow vegetables. Start with the easy ones, courgettes, peppers, tomatoes and potatoes. Squash is easy too and great fun as they come in all shapes and sizes!
bake and cook. Cooking should be okay as have cooked from scratch for years and can do short crust pastry rather well having only mastered the skill in the last 6 months, however again I shall be consulting my friend the google to learn how to make cakes etc.[\QUOTE]

Baking is a science, exact measurements and it won't go wrong. I can give you any number of simple child and granny friendly recipes :)

Re housework - I am with you lot. Think how much electricity and therefore money we save by not getting the hoover out every day.
    Good point!
How are things at work now Piq? The c0ck up with your wages notwithstanding, have they relaxed the rules to include EVERYONE back in the staff room for breaks, or is it just the brave ones that dare speak up for themselves?
I sit in solitary splendor in the staff room. I am the only person considered clean and tidy :rotfl:

The insurance refusing to pay up is not work's fault. It is the idiot processing the claim not reading the payslip properly. I get paid for 15.5 hours a week and if the shop gets 100% from the mystery shopper I get a bonus of £1.00 per hour worked.

I still worked 15.5 hours not 31 hours as the idiot claimed. They have written to the job centre to confirm hours. I can see this turning into a fiasco...

Sometimes it would be easier just to sit back and claim benefit....

How blinking frustrating, just one more reason some people choose to do just that x

I cannot believe they still haven't let anyone else into the staff room. Sense would say they'd at least let them back one at a time with a warning that they will know straight away who the messy person is as the people already in have already proved themselves. I'm afraid I wouldn't stand for it but I suppose it depends how desperate you are for a job

Hope you are ok other than that

Hahaha at the thought of you all on your lonesome in the staff room lol - you mean the rest of the staff still have to take their breaks outside?

I have a bread maker, only used it once and the loaf turned out like that lump that the little boy killed a duck with in that Hugh Grant film - was it About a Boy or something? Now the thing is, Piq, I am not a bit scientific, probably why my bread turned out like a door stop, however if you promise to put some recipes on here that I can try out with DGD I give you my firm commitment that I shall weigh every ingredient to the microgram (is there such a thing? Told you I was rubbish at science)
