Hi Vitesse - join in with your animal stories -

Was expecting to have an exciting story to tell today, at the end of the summer we bought an old trailer which I have repaired, today was the first time we have tried getting the pony into the trailer (arrived on a lorry when bought). Sadly (from a story point of view) she calmly walked up and through no problem and a second time where she had some food stood in the trailer. Next weekeknd we'll try a trip out, if I can sort out why the electrics aren't working.

This makes a change from all the times we've fought with ponies to get them into a trailer, been last to leave shows because they won't load or had a pony come out of the jockey door!

And how come the trailer was purchased from OHs "horse fund" but all the extra work/materials was/were done/paid by me?

Now you didn't really want to be stranded somewhere, stuck with a belligerent pony just for a story, did you?:rotfl::rotfl:Normally, they like to do it when it's cold or wet, don't they?

I've been last to leave shows too, when the Captain has decided that he's not getting back into the horsebox  cajoling, threatening, bribing - all useless until he decides to go home....

Hmmm, not sure how to answer this one....it's definitely because you're a kind and generous man!

I'd like to think that today is the start of my get-up-and-go regime, only time will tell...

I got up nice and early to go and sort the Captain out, not only did I muck out his stable but I scrubbed it out with hot soapy water too. Temporarily it smells a darn sight better! We went for a short hack in the woods, without incident, but not without mud! It took a while to get him clean again...

As I was pretty dirty from stable and horse cleaning I bit the bullet and cleaned my car inside and out! Almost as dirty and smelly as the stable me thinks! But not now! Unfortunately, the hose got caught round a couple of plant pots and pulled them over breaking them into pieces. I've saved the broken bits as crocks for summer pot planting, so they've been successfully recycled.

Then I cleared the drains of leaves, still worried that the moat will reappear and come into the house. Sorted out the exploded compost bin, the excess water had flooded quite a bit out, but it's now all back in the bin.

    Showered.

In the spirit of 2013 I cleared and filed all 2012 papers. Loads in the recycling and some in the compost. I am counting this as a decluttering item for my declutter challenge. There was a lot of paper :o I also transferred all info from the old calender to the new. I got a rather nice horsey calender for Christmas, saving some money for me. I still like a paper calender rather than one on my phone. Also any family popping in refer to it to see where I might be.

Cleared the washing and the ironing!!! Then vacuumed round the house, lost interest when it came to cleaning the floors though:rotfl:

Now I'm here checking up on you all, not too many hangovers I hope!
