I am feeling a bit pleased with myself :) It feels so good to clear things, which makes me wonder why I don't do it more often! Most especially the paperwork, wouldn't be such a chore if I did it when I received it :o

Happy New Year to Piq and Piqfans. I had a major shock to the system this morning when I weighed myself. New Year Resolution to lose weight has now turned into a mission - I'm heavier than I've ever been and it's not a good feeling!

So, took dogs out for long walk, measured with pedometer, found a fab app for my iPad which measures calories of everything you eat, including scanning barcodes! and also measures the exercise you do. All good so far. Went to see my friend who is laid up with a knackered leg (long story) came home ready to make low calorie tea. Made dogs' tea and while I was thinking about what I wanted I thought I'd put a second coat of paint on the wall where the previous holes for tv had been (from when daughter's boyf moved bracket and tv for me last weekend). All good so far. Then the paint tin tipped....

Luckily () it was in the kitchen and not in the lounge on new laminate floor... but how can so much paint go so far??? I used nearly a whole roll of kitchen roll, several J cloths, etc etc. Got it over new sweatshirt top, so stripped off and dumped that in a bowl of water - it's now in washer on extended wash - and finally everything is clear of off-white paint.

Dogs kept well out of the way, they know me when I'm in panic mode, plus they're still stretched out after their walk....

Hopefully the rest of 2013 will be somewhat less messy!

PS the tin was a 5 litre tin that was nearly full.....

Holy cow! You may well be in bed now! It was a lovely dry day for once so no complaints here.

started off this morning with one of the dogs vomiting in the bed so washed all bed clothes, walked all dogs, took down all christmas related items, installed my new router which is making a hell of a racket, watched a taped episode of Jonathan Creek with my Mom. Then I started my charity event for 2013, will fill you in on all the details as soon as the webpage is finished.

Tomorrow morning I will press off some of the laundry before work.

May have to change back to the old router because this one is so loud and I have no idea why!

Blimey Piq what a start to 2013! Respect, woman ....
May this be a very happy and lucky year for you, with a lovely new job, good health, and lots of fun with the Captain and Colin. Look forward to hearing all your tales - the good, the bad and the muddly.
Love to all, the cake xx

Oh dear, me too :( I think I'm on a mission too :( Partially, because my thyroxine dose is too low and mostly because I have eaten too much.

However, I never link weight loss with the debt reduction. It strikes me that too many people do it, have a blip on one or the other and drop both projects.

:rotfl::eek::rotfl::eek: Nightmare...... on a far lesser scale, that was me washing the car and breaking plant pots. What should have been a quick job turns into a major project...
