I thought of you on Christmas Day when my parents announced to us that they're going to Australia for three months in Feb! My Uncle is moving to another part of the country so they're going to keep an eye on my Aunt as she'll have a house and 2 dogs to look after plus two grown up children who are more trouble than not. I think it's sweet what they're doing but I'll miss them lots, it was announced in a "we'll need you both to come check on the house by the way" manner.
It's just such a long way away, isn't it? I chatted to DD for ages via Facetime, but it's not the same as a hug.love it! the captain free schooling with the hunt :rotfl:
brave of you to ride bareback but I agree sometimes you have more control on top than on the ground.
hope you are ok x
Foolish or brave? I didn't know I could still do a running vault to get on  Definitely, more control on top, but very hard to turn an excited exuberant horse away from the herd. Not something I'd do again in a hurry!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Another NSD bites the dust, It's quite an easy achievement when you have no money
I've done the fridge audit and I don't need to do any food shopping until Thursday. The freezer is full too. I've even done a menu plan for the week. Very organised for me. Spaghetti in tomato, chilli and garlic sauce for tonight [the tomatoes are looking a bit wrinkly, so I'll use them up first]
I need to set up 2013's spreadsheet of bills, debts and general money stuff. I think that's a tomorrow morning job though.
Today I've taken the Christmas tree down, I can't put up with Colin taking a bite out of it every-time he walks past! That means I've vacuumed up downstairs and done a general tidy. Wine by candlelight this evening. The candles heat the room quite nicely at the moment, very mse!
Took the Captain out in the wind and rain briefly then cleaned all his tack. Love clean tack, wish I liked cleaning it...
Now I'm going to have a catch up on the diaries and see how you all are.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Hi,
I've read your thread over the last week and found it quite inspiring, you certainly seem to live an eventful life whether you mean to or not. It's also be great to see the support you are getting from others. It has inspired me to start my own (soon).
I'm a horse widower (yes a man) although I do get involved with the pony (not a horse a native pony) and will do most things just not ride. So I can empathise about mud, half way up my wellies yesterday, runaway horses etc! We also have dogs and a fat cat but they're not allowed free reign of the house.
One thing, what happened to the writing course? There seem to be quite a few people that I meet at networking events setting up as self-employed copy writers. With the increase in commercial social media could this be an avenue to explore?
Good luck with the postponned interview.0 -
Hullo Vitesse:hello::hello:
The inspiration is the support I get from others, it's not me at all.
Thank you for popping by, now, if you start a diary we'll all be over to support and inspire you....
I'm still doing the writing course, quite often in the early hours of the morning when I can't sleepIt's very slow progress at the moment, I just haven't had the motivation to do anything much. However, I'm beginning to feel the get up and go slowly returning.
Please keeping popping by, as you've already gathered it's not all doom and gloom here, most of the time it's a fairly happy place to be!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

It will be. I plan on decluttering the box of red wine and watching some of the backlog of tv that I have recorded! I'm already wearing the correct slobbing gear, namely baggy trackies and warm sloppy jumper. Finished nicely by fluffy slippers :TTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

a running vault - good grief - even more impressive - I can barely mount with the aid of a mounting block :rotfl:
I too love cleaning tack. In fact going to do mine tomorrow because once I am back at work (next week) I never have the energy.
Hi Vitesse - join in with your animal stories - keeps me going when most of the time all you can think of is money - I love hearing Piqs animal caper stories. I still think you would do well with a 'captains short stories' or something like that - Piq.0 -
The vault is why my legs hurt, not the riding bare-back. There was no way the git was going to stand still long enough for a leg up, so I jumped!
