Sorry to hear about Bear but at least now you know whats wrong and hopefully tablets will help him. You are def doing the right thing! Hardest thing about being an animal owner is having their life in your hands. You know him so well you will know his quality of life etc and its great you can be there for him like this. x

Oh Bear, you know you are doing the right thing and also that the tests are distressing and may not be conclusive - what is the point?
Hoping he can cope a bit better when the sight thing becomes less scary for him.

Busy day. I went to the job centre first thing and got told off yet again...This time I was putting the National Careers Service number, as recommended by Mely into my phone. It was on a poster on the wall, but security don't allow mobile phones to be used in the building - madness. I do have an appointment to see them as I complained to my adviser and he made the call for me. I suppose it saves me money not using my phone....

I then popped into Tesco and used my double vouchers to stock up on cat food as the offer runs out later this week. I also picked up another pack of dishwasher tablets that were already on half price offer, but my money off voucher brought them down to £2 for 30. They are the Fairy gold tablets, normally £10!

Then I spent a couple of hours clearing the house end of the back garden of anything that might cause the Bear problems. I'm afraid there were a lot of brambles so I had to go and buy some bramble proof gloves which were £8. There's still a lot of work to do tidying and weeding to make it a safe haven for the Bear. I was looking at little garden houses for cats, I was thinking it might be a nice shelter for him if I was out and it rained. But being the Bear, he'd probably refuse to use it. He can't get in from the back garden to the house if I'm out as there is no cat flap at the back. I'm going to look into getting one put in the back door for him.

I've also had a quiet walk in the sunshine with the Captain, easy day for him after him putting so much effort into galloping past a youngster yesterday!

Sort of Greek salad for tea, goats cheese rather than feta, very nice all the same. Followed by apple and blackberries picked from the hedgerow, whilst out with the Captain.

Not a lot else to report so I shall nosy round all the diaries :D

    Oh my:

When a burgler came to my house I was tempted to reach for the butcher knife in the kitchen, but instead I grabbed the 571B banana slicer. I told the burgler..."I'm gonna slice your nanner" and he ran in a terrible fright. Thank you 571B banana slicer for saving my home and possibly my life.
