    Afternoon again Piq et al,

the job hunting goes on apace, still, so far this week I think my luck is on the way up. Interviewd last week for a job and I have been invited back for a 2nd tomorrow !! the only downside is the 20 minute presentation :(
Manged to get it up to 10 mins but talking more slowly just makes me sound a bit thick !!

Then to crown it all, just got a phone call inviting me to another interview in the same sort of area afer the first one finishes . . . Always feast or famine !!

As an aside I went to visit with someone from the National Careers Service . .not so much helpful for me but definaley encouraging in what I was doing. You can have 3 face to face meetings, so might be worth it for a different point of opinion for some.

Onwards and upwards - so the decision tonight is red top or green ?
What would you think would be the more winning colour . ..

    Thanks All

Hi P, good news on the ebay sales. I paid off all my credit cards by doing just what you are going to do - bits and pieces chucked at it - highest interest first. Every little really does help. :D

I have been trawling through the thread trying to find the banana bread/muffin recipe you put on and cant find it :o you wouldnt mind putting it on again would you?

I love the stories of Captain and the Shetty. This is my old boy and his shetland :D

so how was the shift at p*et? I am sure it bores you to tears but actually it is probably good for you to mingle with others, and I am sure dealing with the public is giving you loads of crazy stories to share about the customers.

I'm taking the Bear to the vet at 5:30, he's not right. He fell off a chair and landed on his back, cats don't fall like that, do they? I have to keep showing him his food bowl by holding his head until he starts eating, then staying with him until he's finished, if I walk off he follows.

I'm really worried about him, I know some would say he's only a cat, but he's very special to me. I just hope there's a simple explanation, that he's just getting older...

Green. Red can be perceived as aggressive

I am so pleased for you, which job do you really want? I will keep my fingers crossed for you. They'd all be mad not to want you!

I've not come across National Careers, is it a free service?

LAM that is a very cute couple! Very little and large!

I took a youngster from the yard over to a stubble field for her first gallop on her pony. She wanted to go with me as the Captain is older and more sensible than some of the other horses and ponies. Right......

He walked round the first time, fairly sedately, he knows I check the ground before we run. Then he led the pony in a fairly fast canter. Then I made the mistake of letting the pony lead......

The Captain was not going to be in second place to anyone....

As we came round the corner, he accelerated into gallop, head right down, no brakes and left the pony behind! Needless to say, the pony followed, also flat out, luckily the youngster thought it was the most fun she had ever had. It took me a side and half of a 20 acre field to get the Captain back to trot.....then he shot off at the next corner.....

The pony who is six was tired out, the Captain at 26 was still raring to go....

He's all hosed off now, very sweaty, and happily grazing out in his paddock, probably very pleased with himself indeed!

Yes, I like being with the public, but I'm not using my brain at all, maybe it will seize up...

Three of my items have been paid for and sent off, just waiting for the fourth, needless to say, the most expensive one, to pay.

I have some more to put on, but I'm going to wait to see how I feel after my visit to the vet.

    Signing on day tomorrow...

    Piq,

was good to speak to some one objective, have spoken to them twice and had over the phone feedback, also a 1-2-1 last week.

Didn't tell me anything new but gave me a bit of an extra push as to what I was already doing - you can phone them direct on
0800 100 900 and they will guide you what to do do next.

On meeeting with the advisor last friday I expained that I'd never heard of them, she said they should be given as a resouce from the Job Centre. Then explained that most of her appointments were mandatory referals from JSA for people with no experience !!
I found it helpful so give it a go and pass the message on to others - they are funded by the taxpayer so use it as much as you can !!:T

Hope this helps others too - any questions then let me know !

    Onwards and upwards people !!

    MM x
