The physique and strength of the men.....;) finally a man who could sweep me off my feet and actually carry me for more than three steps without dropping me :eek:actually, just lift me off the ground, walking around wouldn't be necessary. And there was me thinking you'd read that book...

    OK, that stays......

10k open water swimming - very, very impressive, but do we really want people who CHOOSE to do that in the Olympics . Shouldn't they be off having therapy somewhere?

Not sure I can put up an argument for this one :D However, if we drop in your shark with double vision from the synchronized diving and swimming, it will make things interesting....

That's the time I should be vacuuming gone. Those videos are wonderful, thank you! I wish the Captain and I could dance. If he could dance, he'd be more head-banging AC-DC I think...he can only Piaffe when napping....

I've just had the reminder for my car insurance arrive, I'd conveniently forgotten about it! I don't think the 3p road-kill I found yesterday is going to make much of a dent in it. I'll have to start shopping around for prices.

Nectarine smoothie for breakfast today, you've guessed it, four nectarines and three bananas yesterday... They must be doing some good as I lost 3lbs last week :T Please step around the lbs there is no need to pick them up. I am donating them to Mrs Pinot.

Still have yet to write up my notes, the heat in the shop finished me off for yesterday evening, I just slumped!

I thought I'd make pizza for dinner as I have a son coming round, plenty of mushrooms, tomatoes and cheese. I may go mad and buy some mozzarella on the way home from work later. My oregano and basil are doing well in the herb garden, so I've only got to make the dough and chill the wine :D

Can someone explain the point of dressage please? Very skilful and pretty, especially the extended trot (em possibly that is what it's called - stretchy pointy leg bit) but I think there should be a point to sport and can't really see when dressage would come in handy? (Don't take it personally folks, I'm the same with the gymnastics and a bit on the fence with polevaulting and triple jump. And unless you're trying to persuade a shark it has double vision, synchronised diving & swimming seem a bit odd as well :D).

Having said that, still cheering them, hopefully on to victory united-kingdom-flag-waving-smile-animated.gif

Quick delurk - catching up having returned from the 'games' I have always been very sceptical about synchro swimming but having sat enthralled for nearly 3 hours watching it live in the aquatics centre I have re assessed my opinon - dramatic energetic skillful but still a weird 'sport' - and the sequins do not add anything to it other then make for some colourful pics:) Back to lurkdom

I didn't used to be able to make either decent pastry or pasta dough until I invested in a Magimix. It makes it in seconds, perfectly. I am now an amazing cook of pastry and dough :D I can't recommend them enough. No more shop bought pizza for us!
