Was so glad I hadn't started my coffee when I read your last post.

THANKYOU. I am SO tired this morning, but the picture your words painted of the 10ft 'stick' and the effect it had on Captain has made me laugh out loud and finally woken me up.

right off on the school run
    Have a great evening.

As for the Captain, the tree and the boy story, oh dear I laughed so much I had a coughing fit and OH looked at me very strangely

I find it hard to believe your OH has not looked at you strangely before :D I imagine you give him plenty of reasons to do a double take!

We didn't really meander, more of a power trot, just in case a triffid or ent was heading his way :rotfl:

Ha Ha oh dear, can I borrow that man, boy and tree, make my bloomin horse walk! Fine everyday to take to the field and last 2 days decides to not walk, just wants to stand on yard, I think until everyone else goes out, grrr, so trying every trick, unfortunately being so young doesnt know how to lead that well, trying food tomorrow, annoying at 7 in the morning!

Ah yes, I know that one. My friend's horse does it to me everytime I look after him, unfortunately, he's nearly 18hh and very difficult to shove! I found a cup of water chucked at his back legs worked a treat!

I've done a couple of hours gardening, started nice and early before it got too hot and have made some headway into the jungle that used to be my garden. It still is a lovely garden full of roses, honeysuckle, clematis and hebe, but I've neglected it and it is overgrown and wild in parts. Masses of brambles and gooseweed. I've filled the garden bin for collection tomorrow and will do a bit more later when it's cooled down.

I've applied for the job and one other. I've had a refusal back on one I applied for a couple of weeks ago 'other candidates matched their criteria better' and a job I applied for last week has been put on hold.

It's a friend's birthday today, so I'm making her a cake - guess what sort....yup, that's right banana cake! I'm down to the last two bananas from the last batch now. I might have them grilled with brown sugar for tea.

I'll go to see the Captain in a while, it's unlikely we'll go out for a hack, not because of helpful boys with trees, but because it's too hot! I'm working all day tomorrow and a girl who's now on school holidays is going to give him a bath and all the trimmings! He'll be so pleased - not....

Yes, I have to admit I do give OH lots of reasons to look at me strangely. Then again, he is rather strange.

Oh I had another giggle re-reading that story. I suspect the Captain was harrumphing and generally waggling the ears around in a very theatrical fashion. It is LOVELY and hot, so nice I decided to h3ll with the expense I was taking the convertible to work.

Hello there Piquant! Sorry I haven't been on for a while and it's taken me a few days (literally) to catch up on your diary. In that time I have also learnt how to subscribe to your diary so that I don't forget where I am.
Gosh so much has happened in the time I've 'been away' and I am so fed up to hear that you haven't found your deserved dream job yet. I have to say that I cannot praise you enough for sticking at the job at Pr£t (the other one sounded awful). I am so impressed and it just goes to show what type of person you are. Incredible. I did that back breaking work (cleaning) for almost two years before things (hours) worked out in my job. No joke and so tiring oh and the back ache! You are an inspiration!
I get quite emotional reading the comments of all your friends on this diary, you all deserve some recognition too. How kind and supportive everyone is! What a truly wonderful bunch of people all of you.
PS What happened to your blog!!!! Your animal stories have made me laugh too, that's why I had to read your entire diary from where I left off ..... it was well worth it.
Try not to be downhearted, you are a lovely lady.

Hello Nicola :wave:How are you? Keeping well I hope!

Stop making me blush, I am no inspiration I can assure you. But I have struck it lucky with the fantastic folk who hang out around my diary. I must admit it's the encouragement you all give me that keeps me going.

Pr*t's not so bad, most importantly, for me, I'm doing an honest day's work. It's not enough money but I feel better for earning my jsa. Mad, I know, there are many people who will just take the money as it's their entitlement. I need to do something, otherwise I will lose the plot and forget how to work. It's difficult to explain, but the longer my unemployment goes on, the nearer I move towards a dark place. Working has slowed down the descent.

Speaking of which....tomorrow I get to sign on again, another form to fill in as I'm working. Then off to Pr*t for a six hour shift.

I've dropped the blog temporarily, it's all a bit much at the moment, pathetic, I know. I will pick it up again when life picks up I promise.

I spent a lovely few hours in the sunshine with the Captain this afernoon, he was lying down in his field so I laid down with him, we watched the birds and enjoyed each others company, it was perfect just breathing in the smell of sunshine warmed horse...

Morning lovely ladies - loving the Captain story, I needed a chuckle at this ungodly hour of the morning.

For some reason my body clock seems to have decided that 5.15am is a good time to be awake .......it's not! I just lay in bed worrying about everything, this morning it was money coz I have been avoiding looking at my bank account, hence I am up on MSE!

If anybody wants a good laugh, try going into amazon and looking for VEET hair removal cream for men and read the reviews, not for the faint hearted - hopefully this link will work. I got kicked out of the living room yesterday evening making too much noise laughing :Dhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000KKNQBK/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk

Piq - good luck with the job applications, I will keep everything crossed for you!

Have a good (hot) day everyone!

    Noo
