    Afternoon again Piq,

The night before the jobcentre always reminds me to check in with your diary !!

Something you and others may find amusing at my expense . .
Went for an interview yesterday, all went well, left the office and turned to shake my interviewers hand - fell down a small(ish) flight of stairs !!

So pleased that even though it was a hot day I decided against the smart dress option . . legs akimbo, on your back, at the bottom of stairs is not a good look !!

Still, I guess they won't forget me in the selection process . .

Good Luck with the continued (and I know neverending) search for a job you want rather than need.

    Adios,

    MM

Firstly did you hurt yourself, if so (((((hugs)))))

Now we have that out of the way :rotfl:Well at least you made a lasting impression :rotfl:

It reminds me of when I interviewed a young girl and not for it to be too formal took her into the store cafe for coffee and a chat. I made my coffee whilst I left her to make her tea behind me. All of a sudden I heard a squeak and turned around to see water everywhere. The poor thing had tried to make tea in the cup, not having seen the teapot next to the machine, and when the water didn't stop she pressed the button again, thinking that's how to make it stop. Instead it tried to refill a pot again and hence there was water everywhere. She was mortified and rather stressed throughout the interview. When she didn't get the job, she asked me if it was because of the tea incident. :rotfl:Poor thing but oh so funny to recall now. It turned out it was her first ever interview too so I hope I didn't scar her for life.

Oh people you are priceless and amazing and thank you! Just had a dirty look for waking DH up from snoring by laughing so loudly at the veet thing and also sorry to say the flight of stairs thing, but seriously really hope you are ok and carried off the fall with aplomb. I did a similar thing but I fainted and therefore fell down the stairs right to the feet of the dean of the university ........ That was a bit of a tale every time he saw me thereafter he would ask "how are you blood sugar levels "

    @Granny,

I had the interviewer basically haul me to my feet, said I'm fine no worries etc, walked out of the building got in the car and wanted to cry !! I've skinned the knuckles on one hand, bruises the size of oranges on my knees and bruises at 'stair' interval from the back of my knees to my shoulders . . had to drive 30 miles home went to my Mums where after 5mins sympathy she and my brother were P'ing themselves . . not out of nastiness but I have history of falling down stairs (long story:) )

Signing on day tomorrow, wonder if the clone behind the desk will find the story amusing !!!

Onwards and upwards to all the job hunters/seekers out there :)

    Busy on here tonight!

Melymay you poor thing, what a horrible thing to happen at any time, let along an interview. I've always worried that revolving doors will spit me out with my legs in the air. Even if I'd broken a leg I'd be insisting I was alright, too embarrassed to admit pain.

Perhaps it will work in your favour, they will remember you! Drop the interviewer a thank you note, re-iterating your interest in the job and maybe a gentle light-hearted reference to your tumble. It will keep you in their mind's eye. Worth a try?

Welcome Mr B, just as I was saying there were no gentlemen on the diary, did granny drag you in screaming. If she promised you a tube of veet for men, run away.... There is much talk of animals, unemployment and [STRIKE]hair removal[/STRIKE] intellectual debating on my diary  with the odd [STRIKE]crate[/STRIKE] bottle of wine bought in by granny. Okay, there's not that much that's intellectual about it, but it is a happy place most of the time.

I love 50 sheds of grey, well done gally for finding it, somehow I'm not surprised that you did!

Today I was paid six bananas and chatted up by Captain Birdseye.

I'm going to have to save up for a second freezer just for the bananas at this rate

Captain Birdseye comes in everyday for a coffee and a banana, I think I'm being set up here. He looks just like the man in the adverts. And before you get excited, no no no. I am not going there, he really does not look good with no shirt and socks and flip-flops [I didn't know it was possible to wear socks with flip-flops, but today I learned that it was]

After my stint at Pr*t I took the Captain out for a meander in the evening sunshine, we watched the hay being baled before heading back for carrots and a stable cleaning session.

Does anyone know what you can give a cat with really bad wind? I may have to sleep with a peg on my nose. The Bear keeps farting and looking at me in disgust, like I made him do it...
