  • LOL @ the slug/snail conversations. I stood on a snail once and cried (I was a grown woman of 30 something) and had to go scrub my feet for about half an hour until i could no longer feel the squelching (am curling my toes up as i write this...i think it may have permanently scarred me!!!)

I am here! Not under water yet...

I was given lots of things today, very exciting :j Someone at the yard gave me a bag of fresh peas, a bag of rhubarb, a dozen eggs and an oregano plant. They have their own small holding and sometimes have a glut of produce, I put my hand up for leftovers! No pride :rotfl:My DS3 bought me two silicone baking mats and a matching spatula, he was given them and didn't know what they were ;)

This meant me making a dozen individual rhubarb tarts and freezing several portions of peas. I had some peas for supper they were lovely I made some mint butter to go with them. As I had so many eggs I had scrambled eggs and got some smoked trout out of the freezer that I had bought as a whoopsie a while ago.

I got caught in the rain this morning, we haven't had any flooding here, but the weather's not great. Poor Bear has to practise his bladder control as he won't go out in the heavy rain.

I don't know if I mentioned I got paid yesterday, I'm getting £35.50 more than jsa weekly, still not enough to live on, but more than the system allows you.

Otherwise I don't really have much to say, I need NL round in her Terminator outfit armed with her gun of vinegar. I have been invaded by slugs and snails, they're even climbing up the kitchen window

You have my sympathy, I can't stand them either, I can't pick them up with my bare hands, I have to wear gloves even then I'm shuddering at the thought of them....

:rotfl: My DGD2 last week was playing in the corner of the room quietly and a bit too much so for my liking so I went to see what she was doing. She looked at me all sheepish and hurriedly rammed something in her mouth. _pale_ I extracted it, only to find a still wriggling wood louse  DGD1 was disgusted and told her off :rotfl: I just felt sick
