All are welcome for coffee and biscotti, the best bit about the biscotti apart from how yummy they are, is that they're fat free, so one [remember the amount - one not four] is a guilt free treat.

I haven't used trovit, I'll have a look shortly, I'm about to check the job boards, but I seem to be on here instead...

I'm not that down, well, maybe a little. Like everyone else money shortages are worrying me. I will look for another part-time job or a decent full time one. Of course I'm always there for you, in fact, all of us have so many folk rooting for us all on so many different threads, it's humbling...

Fat Free ?!! That sounds good, I had no idea !

I should be working and not on here, but this is so much more interesting and whats worse is that I am sitting here in my PJS as well !! Really Must get a grip !!

    Hi Piq & folks

Was just wondering, Piq, about what PG was saying about other routes to getting a job..you know sandwich board that kinda thing:p no seriously did you ever manage to find out if there were any womens networking groups or small business support groups around you? Still think its worth a shot. Around where I am a lot of opportunities come from people who know each other, rather than the more formal routes

I also think you should eat even more strawberries as you did come second. Its a great result when you had no PS experience..so well done.

Hope weather perks up soon..its blooming miserable and all my allotment crops have been eaten apart from strawberries and salad (and potatoes!). Beans are shot..gone..its as if they were never there! So bang goes that theory of trying to supplement the family larder!

    Speak soon

    Hugs

Right, GREAT NEWS - you were interviewed, they liked you and if the idiot they had probably had to offer the job to hadn't been there you would have nailed it - disaster interview timing and so on or not. It is the civil service, as in boys / girls network so DO NOT beat yourself up. Sadly I think a lot of civil service jobs are advertised because they have to and not because they want new blood.

Biscotti ... dribble it may taste of something - but then nothing much tastes of anything due to cold.

That is definitely the case in my office anyway - job always goes to the people who were doing it on temporary placement.

Fat free and tasty but would I stick with just one? Probably not. I don't know what's the matter with me today, I've been mooching food all day, haven't actually given in yet but the desire is there.
