:T:T:rotfl::rotfl:I have just had the most fantastic uplift to my day courtesy of this mental imagery - thank you! I have also been know to do the same thing. I discovered the best sort of carpet is that modern wool mix berber without a pile - although DH located a cracking carpet for the living room - blue with brown and cream flecks - hides all sorts of mischief!

    You're both welcome :D

By that stage of cat ownership, I was firmly of the opinion that if I located a cat-coloured carpet the creature could shed as much as it liked. As long as I couldn't see the damn stuff, it didn't matter :rotfl:

I once bought a carpet to match my cat. The old carpet was dark green and the cat....wasn't. The sofa was also green and I spent many a moment wondering fancifully about the cat, a bucket and some green food colouring. But she shed so much that it would have had to be a weekly bath and I'm not sure how many of those I could have managed without being cut to ribbons. (Answer : approximately none).

So, there I was, knelt by the pile of sample squares of carpet with an envelope of cat fur in one hand, rubbing a small amount of the fur into various carpet squares trying to find the one where it "disappeared". That was when the manager approached me...

Not at all....you've made everyone laugh! So I'll be getting black and beige bedding - nice. One problem I hadn't mentioned is how the black hair sticks to me during the night, I wake up covered. On a bad morning I can look like the bearded lady!

I've never thought of matching the animal to the furnishings before, it has possibilities you know :rotfl:

    Evenin' all...

I have been naughty and bought myself strawberries and cherries, couldn't resist and I'm not even sorry :p

I was going to do so much today and didn't! I'm really tired again, can hardly drag myself around and the front of my shin hurts, very bizarre.

The job I was going to apply for as it seemed so perfect has been pulled. I thought it might as it's with the bank that managed to screw up it's customers money. Naturally, they're going to have to pay out a lot of money and it's going to have to come from somewhere. I'll bet they've got an instant recruitment freeze. I got up early to write my application too :( No other roles around today, rarely is on a Monday.

I am beginning to think I may never get a job, very worrying.

Had an email from a company asking if I would research and write articles for them, they will be paying 1p a word and will want 1000 words. If they like my work I could get 10 or more research pieces to write a month. However, I'm not sure when to expect the first job, please don't let it be a research piece on nuclear science.... please let it be on matching pet hair to soft furnishings....:D

Got a few bits out to e*bay, but haven't :o genuinely too tired, I have a feeling I'm a bit down and that's why I'm so tired, need happy pills :):):)

Pr*t was fine, hard work but quite enjoyable and I do get fed which is a very big plus point!

I did manage to ride the Captain today, we had a lovely time riding in the school in the sunshine, he was almost skipping round! bless!

Got a £25 payout from one of the survey sites today, which is useful. I used my fairy vouchers from the trial site and got masses of dishwasher tablets for less than half price. The tablets worked out the same price as the value range and are a lot better. Thanks to Mrs Happy for that one!

Big hugs and some wine and chocolate instead, oh and a happy horse instead of pills x

I am sure you will get something soon. The 1p a word thing might work out ok, especially if you can type fast:).

Sorry Piq, dont seem to have got around to posting.

There MUST be something around the corner for you on the job front. 1pm a word and needing a 1000 words, although wouldnt take me long the way I ramble sounds a total nightmare, but if it brings in much needed cash then I suppose its worth a shot.

I wouldnt feel guilty about the cherries or the strawberries, I bought some today as well. Did you remember the chocolate to melt and then dip the strawberries into though ? I do hope so ?!! :D

Sorry you are feeling so down again, what can we do to cheer you up, other than finding you a job ? xxx
