Think you deserve a treat Piq and they are not that pricey this time of year anyway.
I have every faith that there is something fantastic waiting around somewhere for you Piq, it just has to find its way to you x
:rotfl:
Big hugs and some wine and chocolate instead, oh and a happy horse instead of pills x
Although maybe I should swap the chocolate and horse pics over as they are a tad inappropriate. Then again it may make you laugh :rotfl:

I'm not sure how I feel really, desperate for a job or an income! I try not to let it get on top of me as I'll never get anywhere if I do. I am naturally a laid back cheerful person, I hate feeling down and will fight it as much as I can.
Today I heard back about the disastrous interview. Apparently they really liked me, they enjoyed seeing me, they thought I was very knowledgeable, they thought I'd have no difficulty influencing people, but they were concerned that I had no public sector experience and so chose the candidate that had worked in the public sector before. I came second. Not good enough, coming second doesn't earn any money
Not a single job on the boards today, not one that I could do anyway. Haven't heard back from any others that I've applied for. I had a phone message from a recruiter that I like saying that he had some potential senior jobs in the pipeline he'd like to talk to me about. I left a message, but he hasn't got back to me yet, maybe tomorrow....
I went food shopping and got all the basics in for the month for £34.59. I should only have to buy fresh produce during the month.
I made a sweet potato, mushroom and chickpea curry for tea and there's another two portions left, one in the freezer one for later in the week. Also made a dozen bread rolls, they were delicious, I had one for my tea, saved one for lunch tomorrow and froze the rest. Whilst I was at it I used up some bits in the cupboard and made cranberry and almond biscotti to have with my coffee in the afternoon.
My shin still hurts...

Well done on coming second, although I understand how disappointing it is for you. As I said before something will turn up honey of that I'm sure. If you can come 2nd after such a disastrous interview, imagine what you can do with a full one.
Good luck with the possible leads.
Your tea sounds yummy and biscotti, can I come round?
Poor shin, hope its better soon. Perhaps Bear kicked you in the night when you were sleeping xTargets

Didn't write up all my day, brain's not firing on all cylinders!
I heard back from the mortgage insurance people, my working 15.5 hours a week does not impact my claim. As long as I continue to sign on and send them a copy of my wage slip the mortgage will be okay.
I finally filed my paperwork, long overdue and it's been difficult finding relevant bits of paper for thingsthe recycling paper sack is also a lot heavier!
Actually managed to list three items on eb*y, I'll try for another couple of listings tomorrow. I must make myself do eb*y, I need the money. Whilst I'm at it, I should do some more mind numbing surveys. I received £25 off them yesterday, so it is worth it.
And as a finale I sorted out my t-shirt drawer, a few have been relegated for down the yard wear, more than a few have shrunk in the drawer and are going to go on eb*y, the rest are now ironed and folded neatly :TTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
