Good luck with the writing today , butI hope you get to spend soem quality time with The Captain
Granny , my DD2 used to have a penchant for Woodlouse, she hates being reminded of it now though ! xx
The article is finished and submitted. Hope the client likes it. I found it really difficult to get my head in gear for research and then writing up my findings in my own words. The temptation to copy and paste is great....
Today I found 6p! That's my financial worries over :rotfl:I was also given lots of broad beans and gooseberries. Quickly made some pastry and now have four individual gooseberry and elderflower pies, three to go in the freezer, one for tea!
Also I've been eb*ying, absolutely hate it, but I need the money. I've got ten items up there, one with 28 watchers, I'm hopeful that one will make at least £25. Only one other item has a bid on it, several of the others have watchers but that means nothing. I'm trying to put on an item or two a day, most at 99p starting amount. I have so much tat everywhere
Rode the Captain in the school today, we had a fine time launching ourselves at trot poles  and pretending they were six foot jumps
I've applied for a job, not exactly what I can do, but I'm sure I could learn...
And lastly I'm working down the yard tomorrow, they're short staffed and then at Pr*t Wednesday and Thursday. I'm signing on Wednesday, must make sure they know I'm working less than 16 hours, don't want to lose the mortgage insurance. Maybe my adviser can explain the council tax benefit. I've read it a second and third time and still don't understand what exactly I'll be paying going forward

Sounds like its going to be a busy old week for you Piq !
Glad you have found a job you can apply for even if you may have to "Wing" certain aspects of it as my DD would say !
I am so glad that your financial woes were resolved with the 6p find !! :rotfl:I must check my sofas again if such treasures could be hidden, it has been a while since I have done so. Must make it a more regular occurence ! Actually might give DD2 the job of rummaging in handbags for coins she seems to quite like those sort of jobs !
Hope you arent too battered and bruised and exhausted after working down at the yard today / tomorrow . DD2 not ridden since the school hols ,beginning of June, I am feeling a bit guilty, but other things have got in the way really but I know she is missing it !! Must get something organised for her for school hols. Sign her up for a few leadership dyas where she can go and earn herselfsome points I think !
Well Im off now, eyes are closing finally, off to grab a few Zzzzzs before mr Pinots alarm goes off ! xxxLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

What on earth are you doing up at 3.30 in the morning???? Is your back bad again? I am willing to let you have my 6p to buy some whiskey or something... I found it in the street, was a bit embarrassed to pick it up, but decided 'hey it's money, next time it might be a £50 note....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

We have a 'road kill' jar in our house and everyone puts in money they have found - the only rule is that it has to from outside the house - so if you find a fiver down the back of the sofa you can keep it! Mind you I didn't 'declare' the tenner I once found flapping in the gutter:rotfl: We put the money towards something at ChristmasBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

road kill! ha ha ha genius
I like dosh in the winter coat pocket finds. it sure beats lint!
So Piq how are you getting on? Store cupboard supper here of lentil soup. The weather is so weird, the dogs alternate between crying to go for a walk and dragging me back home.
I had a Mr. malaprop yesterday, it's on the diary.

Lost the internet connection for a while this evening, not sure if the storm we had caused it. The rain was torrential and for a short while the back patio was under three or so inches of water. The Bear had come in about five minutes before it started wearing a bog-brush tail instead of his normally ratty tail.
I like the idea of road kill, but 6p isn't going to buy much for Christmas
My lady friend of the gooseberries turned up today with cherries, masses of them! Looks like I'm going to be making cherry tarts soon. I had the broad beans she gave me today with pasta, marscapone and parmesan - very nice!
I worked down the yard this morning, shoveled sh*t for three hoursThe Captain is back in his stable as the fields are underwater. He doesn't seem to bothered although he is very stiff in his hocks only to be expected at his age.
