I feel pretty much the same today. Think maybe I'll live the life of the Bruno Mars Lazy song today x

I've noticed loads of us are missing since the weekend, hope we all get back into the diaries soon.

I know it hasn't taken me very long to catch up on the diaries this morning and there's still chocolate and wine left over from when I left it out on Sunday :) Maybe my diet will have to wait a bit longer.

Anyway, hope life is good at the moment. Talk soon. Love Gx2 x

Paid for the horse aticles is genius. Are you at the cafe this weekend?

How is the Captain? I have 2 roses bushes, neither one of them particularly pretty but I only buy roses for the fragrance. The yellow one in the front seems to be shielded from lots of the wind but the poor one in the back garden is suffering terribly.

    Morning!!

I'm off to the cafe in a minute, plenty of deodorant on, it's going to be hot there. And to make matters worse the horrible cook is on - joy...

The Captain is being babysat today by my friends 12 year old daughter, she idolizes him and naturally, he is as good as gold for her. I've left strict instructions not to wash his feathers with soap, he'll need the oils in his skin to combat the mud and puddles in the field. This has disappointed her as she loves brushing his long hair.

I've put together a loaf in the breadmaker and made a banana cake from the black bananas already. Washing on the line, hope it doesn't rain....

Must go, will catch up with you all later.

Ghastly day at the cafe. The sun took the temperature up in the kitchen and encouraged the wrinklies out in droves. As before only three of us on. The owner shouted at me as I wasn't fast enough stacking the dishwasher and clearing the tables called me a thick tart - nice....Bit of an eye-opener this job!

I did consider walking out several times, but I like the girl who was struggling to serve the customers and it wouldn't have been fair to her. But I was seething at being shouted at. I'm not sure how long I can stick it. But on the plus side, it's such hard work, I'm losing weight nicely!

Apparently I can have 20% off any plants from there, I really wanted something to brighten up the front garden, but even with the saving, I'd remember the horrible people that own the garden centre every time I watered the plant! I'll either go without or pay the extra 75p and have a plant I will like for itself...

    Thick tart signing out....

I would never allow him to keep a horse. I would horse-nap it!

Family owned business' seem to be very different to the large corporates I have worked in up until recently. It's a completely different way of doing things, This one is run by a self important bully. Unfortunately, sooner or later I will open my mouth and that will be that.

I don't have to go back until next weekend. In the meantime, I will look for another job to keep me going. I still haven't made contact with the yard that was looking for a part-time groom. Maybe tomorrow....

Oh Piq, nasty nasty owner. Sounds like a terrible day ! I cant believe they called you that , how on earth you stood your ground and didnt walk out I will never know !!

Good news that you now a published paid author, I feel like a proud mother ! :j Now we need to find you another part time job before next weekend, so you can tell the owner where to stick his discounted plants.

NL, I'm from Essex, so does that mean I can swear on Piqs behalf too, or is it only allowed for you New Yorkers ?!!! :rotfl:

Oh how rude, I certainly wouldn't be putting any money in the owners pocket, cheap plants or no.

It beggars belief that some people think they can get away with this sort of behaviour, but I would so love to be a fly on the wall when you finally let rip.

I once walked out of a job at lunch time after my awful boss had sat upstairs in the staff room all morning, because she was pregnant and feeling under the weather. Ha, so was I and had medical reasons for needing to take it easy, as well she knew.

She came down to let me go to lunch, telling me to take 30 minutes and then come back for an hour so she could have her lunch, at which point she'd let me take my 2 fifteen minute breaks together. I asked for an hour instead and was not so politely told "NO".

So I took the rest of my life instead. I bet she was seething when I was late and wonder how long it took her to realise I wasn't coming back. She was such a caring boss, she never even rang to check that nothing awful had happened to me.

It was worth losing a day and a half pay for, luckily I'd just been paid and hadn't worked a week in hand, so that's all it cost me.

Anyway, good luck with the job hunting this week, I hope it goes well.

What a cheek - am seething on your behalf [seethe, seethe] Now not sure if thats how its spelt as that doesn't look right. Anyway my dander is up, am on my high horse and he got my goat.

He needs a large supply of liquid horse manure poured slowly over his head. You are so much better than that so hope you do get something else and you can tell them where to stick the job and why......................:mad::mad:
