Glad the party was good, must have been a day for it as we had a yard Jubilee BBQ yesterday too, only caught last 1hr as been to see some friends but that last hour was in the sunshine :D

I think that was the only hour of sunshine though!

I haven't spent any money over the bank holiday, four days of NSDs! It was helped by my mum bringing over a box of salad and vegetables from the farm shop. Hurrah for mums!

I managed to dry the washing outside although I had to do a run up the garden to save it from the rain this afternoon. I could have ironed it all, but I didn't :D

I met my friend's new red setter puppy today, I now want a dog....puppies are adorable, this one was all legs and ears, absolutely adorable.

I have nothing to report, which must be a good thing, but makes for boring posts! Back to the grindstone of finding money and work tomorrow though. I hope you have all had a wonderful long weekend despite the rain.

I have my hot-water bottle ready for bed, I have been so cold the last couple of nights even though it's June!

No I wasn't. I'm really only supposed to work the weekends and possibly any cover they need. I can't say I missed not working, I got a day with the Captain instead!

Not particularly! He wanted to be with his shetland, the feeling wasn't mutual...and being a cruel mum I insisted we did some riding instead!

Glad you enjoyed the party Piq. The quiches sound yummy, you will have to attempt to post your made up recipe for us all to see.

I'm glad you got to spend some time with the Captain even if he was grumpy and four NSD , well dome you. I seemed to spend spend all weekend and we didn't even celebrate Jubilee. I will blame it on my girls :rotfl:They seem to be getting more expensive by the day.

Great news re the gold too. I sold some in the early days of my diary for about £700 , it certainly came in handy.

Have a good day today :D

    Hello Piq,

Got your email. All set up on my end, now just crossing fingers and toes.

I am going to do my meter readings online today to see if they owe me credits. Can you PM me the gold thing you used? I have some old gold and also adiamond ring mount with some tiny side diamonds ( main diamond removed) so I don't know if they would be interested in that xx

There's a whole thread on Hatton Garden Metals on the 'up your income' board. They won't pay extra for stones, I would go to a jeweller for valuation and removal of them. It says on the site that the stones are destroyed as part of the gold harvest.

The horrible weather is making me feel bleugh....I can't be bothered to do anything and that has included writing in my diary - naughty...

On the good side of things, I haven't had any unplanned spending. I did a B**ts shop yesterday and split the shopping into two trips to be able to use my £5 voucher. I stocked up on deodorant 3 for 2, ditto body lotion and shower gel.

I have been paid for my horse articles - hurrah! I suppose I am now a published author ;)

I currently have washing draped around the house drying, not a good look and have had to bring my waterproof riding coat out of summer storage. It was washed and dried during the glorious summer we had last week, think it's now autumn...:(

All the beautiful roses that are just opening have either been blown to smithereens or are rain blown, such a shame.

I've noticed loads of us are missing since the weekend, hope we all get back into the diaries soon.

    hi P,

Weather here is awful too - arrived yesterday at yard to find little mare shivering and absolutely soaked. She did have a raincoat on for what it was worth.

Glad its only been a 3 day working week - I am feeling a little bleurgh myself - not helped by having to get up and muck again with this weather!

Bramham Horse Trials (supposedly) tomorrow - tickets bought ages ago by OH so hopefully it will still run as its the last chance for the eventers to be spotted for the Olympics. I think the team is due to be announced on Monday.

Well done! :T At least the writing part is starting to earn a bit.

Hope you all have a good weekend. :D
