I sent off my odd bits of gold on Monday and my bank account has been credited with £919.18 :j:j:jI'm feeling a little OMG!!!
I've got an extra months money to live on :j:j:j I'd like to pay it off my debts, but I need to live first!
...and I've got not one, but two potential interviews. I've got through the agency barrier and two separate agencies have sent my cv onto the companies who are hiring. I really, really hope one of them gets me an interview.
I hope I haven't hexed it by telling you all. Normally, when I say something it all goes pear-shaped

Thank you one and all for being so pleased for me. Don't forget though, these are only potential interviews, but I have got through the agency barrier at least I can be turned down by the actual company!
My job centre adviser has said that any interview costs will be reimbursed too which will be helpful. Just have to keep everything crossed that I get an interview.
On other notes, the Captain is being an opinionated whatnot and decided he didn't want to go out for a hack. Cue lots of reversing down the track and standing in the ditch. It took me a good 45 minutes to get him to go forwards. I'm not sure which of the two of us is more stubborn!
I have to work the weekend in the coffee shop. I have decided to wear my trainers! With black trousers covering the majority of shoe they won't look too bad and I think they will help my feet and back a little. They're darn expensive Nike trainers and very foot supportive. I'm giving up on any style for a semblance of comfort!
Out tonight with a group from the yard. It'll cost £15 for the food and I've already said I'm not drinking as I can't afford it. I hardly ever go out these days and although I can't afford the money, I need the company and a bit of fun for a change!

Piq - that's a fantastic amount for your gold, I'm sure you had a huge smile on your face when you saw that! AND 2 potential interviews, things are really looking up!
I finish work today, have a beautifully decorated desk and have been given three gorgeous Pandora charms from my lovely colleagues. I do feel a little bit sad though!
Glad things are looking up Piq.

Hi tunathe cat!
You read all 63 pages? Don't you have a library book? :rotfl:
It's lovely to meet you! I'm not sure you'll learn anything here, but the loveliest bunch of people you could ever meet gather here.
The Bear and the Captain are well. Although the Captain has a strop on today!nannygladys wrote: »Really pleased for you piq ref the interviews - couldnt happen to a nicer person and the gold - wow (have to hunt my old stuff out too!!!)

Hello Nannygladys! Good to see you back again. I hope you have been well and having a good time away from the diaries.
Yes, look out your gold. It was going for about 11.50 a gram. I couldn't believe how quickly they paid and how much I got. It was all stuff that had been collecting dust in the bottom of a box for years.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
