I dont do heat either (and I was born in a hot country). Luckily I think it is due to cool down slightly from Wed.
Hope Bear is a little better now - so sad when they are poorly and cant talk.
Hope you are ok today too x0 -

I haven't had a chance to post sooner but I have been thinking of you in this heat in the cafe. I hope all this melting turns out to financially worth it for you, if you see what I mean. Glad to hear the Bear is doing better, too. How are the Captain's pink bits? Did you find any zinc cream after?
Lovely to see you again, waving madly :wave:
It's not worth it financially as I'll lose the same amount I earn from my jsa. I just feel better about myself working, although I'm not sure I feel better about this job
The Captain's pink bits are a bit too pink and he has now developed nappy rash  without wearing nappies I might add. I've used the zinc cream on the rash, it seems to have dried it up okay, thanks everso for the info. I've put a layer of aloe vera on his nose, eyebrow and bald patch, let it soak in then applied the zinc cream. I'll see how he looks later. He's still coming in from 9:30 to 4:00. There is very little shade in his field and he's quite happy hay munching in his stable.debtfreewannabe321 wrote: »evening piq i'm really sorry to hear of all the troubles you've been having. Thank you for the vibes, I do need themWith everybody wishing me well surely something nice will happen soon.
Sounds awful. It was 29 degrees in my office today and sooo sticky, everyone was complaining. I can't imagine doing physical work in 34 degrees. Hope something more suitable comes along very soon x
It's beyond words how horrible it is. You know I'm not exaggerating as a few others have done the cafe work and said how hard it is. The only good bit is I'm losing weightTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Good morning, hope that the politics and the heat are more bearable today, cant imagine working in that sort of condition
Have nice AC office as get awful heat rash in the sun so its indoors and in the shade for me!
I don't think there is an envy emoticon so I'll use the sticky out tongue one instead...:pI dont do heat either (and I was born in a hot country). Luckily I think it is due to cool down slightly from Wed.

I'm okay thank you, I'm a fairly happy sort of person and bounce back. The Bear seems much better, he's still not eating much but as he now has the cat equivalent of Complan I'm not too worried!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I want to say thank you to all of you who are helping me through a little bit of a difficult time. I appreciate you all and wish I could wave a magic wand and free us all from debt.
There's one of you out there, who worked hours on my CV and made me sound fantastic, hey I'd employ me now!!! Thank you so much, you know who you are. I'd didn't want to go public and make you cross, but maybe you could set up a sideline and earn a little extra money....
I got through quite a lot yesterday. I applied for a job in London and was turned down, at least I got a reply, certainly replies are few and far between.
My mortgage insurance payment didn't land in the account as expected. Apparently I have to fill in a form saying I am still signing on. Okay, so where is it? Luckily I kept enough in the account to cover the mortgage as I'm not as trusting as I should be :rotfl:
I bagged up all my broken gold earrings and bracelets and sent them to the gold buying site that gets good reviews on the up your income board. Hopefully I get a few pounds to tide me over.
Swapped my half hour of housework in the morning for half and hour of gardening, so many weeds. No flowers in pots this year which is very sad. I love a couple of geraniums by the front door, lifts the spirits.
I've seen a part-time groom job in the village advertised. Going to give them a ring and see what the hours are and how much they pay.
I need to get my horse blog done today. Unfortunately, I need to rewrite what I sent them as an example of my work. I'd sent them the beginning of my book and they loved it. However, they will own the copyright meaning I can't use it again. So I'm going to rewrite in batches of 500 words in a blog style.
Incidentally, a friend at the yard also applied and was accepted for writing articles, she got a 'thanks, we will pay 2.50 an article' acceptance. I got a 'we love this, please write for us, offering me twice as much at a whole £5! This tells me , I think that my book is okay and I need to get on with it and I'm not signing it away for such small sums. The blog will give me my first published, paid work and hopefully a following, perhaps making it easier to get the book published later. What do you think?
Eek! look at the time, I've gardened and cleared up but that's all. One job to apply for, two blog articles to write and a horse's nappy rash to sort out. Not to mention catching up on your diaries...

Purrball is sitting on his chair in the shady bit of the garden, used to be my chair....
I went for a plod with the Captain, who was coated in sunscreen, yesterday. Too hot for anything else. I was looking at a garden and he snaffled half a bush whilst I wasn't concentrating  That was the only bit of trotting that we did....The getaway trot

So glad you are on the up and Bear is on the mend. Far to hot to trot here, I swam but now hot again.
Obvious thing but you have put the cv on monster haven't you? Loads of agencies trawl it, could. Be good for exposure?
