Anyone on a DMP with CCCS?

MBNA on the other hand, my largest creditor, have been wonderful for the whole term. No hassle from them at all and they accepted my dmp immediately and have still kept interest frozen 5 years on provided I pay the originally agreed CCCS amount which was £69 pm and they are now getting £183pm and more than my original minimum with them but they still keep interest frozen.
Good luck with your dmp.
Thanks Deep In Debt
Same goes for me re: MBNA, I owe them just over £9k, and they were the first to freeze interest at 0% APR and accept the CCCS offer!

I remember reading on here that they can be a good thing as the companies can only default you once and once they default you the 6 years clock starts ticking.
Apparently its the ones that DONT default that you need to worry about as up until they do they can default you any time they please and it wont drop off until 6 years after.
So for example, you have got one now and in 6 years it will drop off your credit file, however, you could pay another creditor for the next 5 years and they can choose to default you in 5 years time...it then takes another 6 years to drop off your file from that date. Hope this rambling makes sense!! lol.
Kind of, LOL! :rotfl:
No, you're crystal clear
I will still scan in the Default Notice and email it to CCCS, just so they have a copy.
Take care :T.0 -
Hi.
Q1) Are you meant to be allocated "a named" worker with CCCS when you are accepted on a DMP with them, so you don't have to keep speaking to strangers everytime (even though I know they can access your "file"?)
Q2) How easy is it to get CCCS to reduce your monthly payment to them (and subsequently to your creditors)? My rent and garage rent is going up nearly £30 a month from next week, and I just have no way of saving this amount from anything else in my SOA and budget.
It's already killing me living how I am now
Thank you.0 -
Also....
Q3) Even though MBNA have accepted I am in difficulty and have accepted the CCCS payment and frozen interest and charges at 0% APR, they keep sendind me worrying letters, such as the "Notice of Sums In Arrears" received on Thursday saying total arrears = £561.79
Total due = £603.95
Total paid = £42.16
TOTAL NOT PAID = £561.79
I know it's a "standard(ish)" letter they send out, but do I need to ring them (again?).
The letter states: "please note there is no need to contact us if you have made a full arrears payment or we have discussed a repayment plan after the date of this letter".
(April 2nd 2012)
Shall I just scan in and email it to CCCS.

From reading on here CCCS will be Ok about reducing your payments as your priority bills have gone up - call them and see what they say.
Is a DMP the right thing for you - you seem to have a long time to go on it. Would BR be better for you?
Re the default notice - nothing you can do about it - but yes let CCCS have a copy.
Don't worry - it'll all work out for you.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -

Not that I'm aware of. We've not got a named one.Rochdale_Guy wrote: »Q2) How easy is it to get CCCS to reduce your monthly payment to them (and subsequently to your creditors)? I don't know what's best to do anymore.... I just can't handle having this debt round my neck until 2030
I would go bankrupt, but being a stubborn so and so, would miss my car - it's my freedom, even if it does cost a fortune.0 -

Thank you, if they accept my lower payments, I'll now be pushing something stupid like 2035 now.0
