Anyone on a DMP with CCCS?

I find some of the stories on here a little odd. I have a standing order set up with CCCS which comes out on the 15th. No problems at all. Also, CCCS are very good at answering emails, especially from the forms on their website.
When I first started with CCCS (was refused by payplan) it was going to take 88 years to pay back my debt. 5 years later and I have just short of 5 years to go!

Hi cc4rhu,
Maybe your emails get answered (from using the forms on their website) as they aren't novellas with large attachments from someone in a total state of panic?:rotfl:
Congrats on getting 88 years down to 10 years, with just 5 years to go
Thanks :T

Hi,
Just a quick update on my situation/circumstances…
I had three letters yesterday:- A letter from RBS saying they have charged me interest on the £199 overdraft I have (had) with them on the now dormant current account. This has taken me over the agreed £200 level, and they’ve now added over agreed limit charges. They never acknowledged my letter stating I am contacting CCCS and here’s a £1 token payment etc, until CCCS contact them and offer them a payment on my behalf.
- MINT have also sent a statement saying I have missed a payment, they now want a huge amount (including last months missed payment). They also never acknowledged my letter stating I am contacting CCCS and here’s a £1 token payment etc, until CCCS contact them and offer them a payment on my behalf.
- I had a letter from CCCS stating that Barclaycard have refused the offer that they put forward to them, and they may now pass this onto a debt collection agency. Barclaycard also never acknowledged my letter stating I am contacting CCCS and here’s a £1 token payment. They of course are still adding interest and charges, and that will soon take me over my credit limit, oh what joy!
Apart from that, same old same old!
Thing that really annoys me is I was paying MBNA £296 a month, they have happily reduced the APR to zero and stopped all charges and are accepting £40 odd a month now off CCCS, whereas I was paying £99 a month to Barclaycard, and they turn down the CCCS offer of £14 a month and won’t play ball.

Keep nagging at them all, it'll be ok.
Also, I seem to remember someone on here saying that when creditors send stuff to a DCA it gets easier actually as the DCA is often easier to deal with. Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93
Oct 2013 = Current debt: £39.054.70

Nothing or send it on to CCCS.
They will register a default with the CRA's which will drop off after 6 years.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0 -

Sheesh
If it's any consolation, Barclaycard didn't play ball with me either and still don't and I'm 5 years into my dmp and nearly finished now - yay! They have been evil for the last 5 years. I wanted BC to pass my debt to a debt collection agency but they never did:mad:
MBNA on the other hand, my largest creditor, have been wonderful for the whole term. No hassle from them at all and they accepted my dmp immediately and have still kept interest frozen 5 years on provided I pay the originally agreed CCCS amount which was £69 pm and they are now getting £183pm and more than my original minimum with them but they still keep interest frozen.
Good luck with your dmp.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

I have got 2 default notices now. I rang cccs for the first one and they said I dont need to do anything with them, just file them away.
I remember reading on here that they can be a good thing as the companies can only default you once and once they default you the 6 years clock starts ticking.
Apparently its the ones that DONT default that you need to worry about as up until they do they can default you any time they please and it wont drop off until 6 years after.
So for example, you have got one now and in 6 years it will drop off your credit file, however, you could pay another creditor for the next 5 years and they can choose to default you in 5 years time...it then takes another 6 years to drop off your file from that date. Hope this rambling makes sense!! lol.0
