I have tried to read thru these pages to find out the best way of going - Contract wise - but WOW how mind boggling this has become.
Basically i need to change company as I have moved and virgin (currently PAYG) does not offer a good signal. I have heard Vodafone is good in this area so that it what i have been looking at.
I like the idea of contract because it appears i can use their free minutes and texts and not actually pay for it by using the cashback facility......is this correct??
I understand thru reading the various postings that some people have experienced problems in claiming, is this regarding just one company or is it something that everybody seems to experience.
I am an organised person and do keep paperwork within easy reach, I also log everything on a to do list and follow it religiously.
Please guide me - Thank youkeep saving :wave:0 -

You should be ok if you follow the t&c to the letter but I would try another company if I were you.
I have got my first cashback and my 2nd one is just about due and I have no confirmation email yet. The last time it was pretty much at the last minute so it could still come.0 -
Thanks nilocmac,
I was thinking my question would get lost in all the arguing so i posted it as a new thread as well!!
Can you recommend a different supplier. I am not a techie person and dont really know who is best which is why i refer to these pages quite often.
Is it also the case that I would get the call and texts included in the line rental? This being the case I could cancel my home phone package......
Cheers

Depends on where you live some networks are better in than others in different areas. So hard to say. I would ask my neighbour or friends what their reception is like.
You can get txt and calls together just make sure you get enough so that you can live within your limit as it starts to hurt when you go outside you limit.0 -
Sorry nilocmac,
You mis-understood - my fault.....
I meant a different company to supply the phone, not the network.
Sorry about that!!

Thank Brenda,
I am not concerned about keeping my number.
I have been told Vodaphone and Orange offer the better coverage in this area.
I am not looking at getting rid of my home phone completely, as you say I need a line for internet connection. What i plan on doing is cancel my home phone talk plan (7.99pm) and basically make my calls on the mobile, my house phone would of course still be available for incoming and outgoing calls if needed.
What I need is the confidence to buy from a company who offers free line rental by way of cashback with as many calls and texts as possible included.
From what I have read it does sound like people are having to fight for what they are entitled to, I dont mind a fight but i'd rather deal with a company who keeps its promise!!

If you look around you will find disgruntled cashback customers of all companies.
Now my TMO contract has ended I have renewed it with Carphone Warehouse directly (on an 11 months free deal); I've got problems there already as I've not received any paperwork and they cocked up the first bill! :rolleyes2Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -

Sorry see my PM about my suggestion what has worked for me.
On another issue...
Can't believe it. I got 2 emails about my 2nd cashback today one that it had been accepted and the 2nd that it would be with me within 7-10 days.0 -
A big THANK YOU to all - it seems like we're back to the business at hand !!!
Just a point, it seems to me like TMO are interpreting the t&c's to mean that they acknowledge receipt in around 28 days, and then start the clock again from that point to make payment by, hence another 28 days. This may well explain the delays when we're all expecting payment within 28 days of the claim hitting their letterbox.
Would anyone, including TMO themselves, like to comment ??......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

That is my understanding too.
It would have been better if they'd put that in their t&cs though (it would have avoided so much 'debate')
I've gone along with the 56 days rather than 28 myself.Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0
