If there's a residential area a reasonable distance away from a supermarket or city center, you can be sure there will be a co-op about. I've always found them to be in quite convenient places if your not particularly close to other amneties - I guess alot of the time your paying for that privelege

I've just been to my local Co for the paper ect & was supprised to see one of my friends working as she only used to work weekdays due to family. The staff are not happy as they Co told them if they started before a certain date, their fixed hours are no longer fixed & they have to be more flexable...

Well if it make you all feel better, one of our somerfield/coop stores will be closing at the end of this month, with job losses.

This is a thread about bad service in supermarkets. Not about wanting people to lose their jobs.

I love our local co-op, the staff are friendly, the quality is fine and the price is perfect......but saying that I only ever buy " sell by" or oopsy offers.

I got 16 crumpets for 18p yesterday so I am a happy bunny oh and a pack (500g) of extra strong cheese for 75p so I have cheese crumpets for breakfast.........

Most co-op's round here are in villages although pricey they are a godsend for people without transport

must be annoying knowing not everybody is as perfect as you.

many people post here as a hobby and you may have to excuse these people for not always checking for typos or incorrect spelling when posting, particularly when they may be cooking tea, dealing with the kids [STRIKE]ect ect[/STRIKE] etc etc.

(betting the fact i've not capitalised the first letter is going to cause a hike in your blood pressure ;))

shame you have to be so patronising really, as many of your posts actually quite useful.

If you only need a few bits and bobs i'm betting the price isn't much different than it would be to travel to a different store when factoring in petrol tbh.

One stop stores are equally as expensive, but again they are usually quite close to residential areas.

I'm sure that if you looked at a selection of my past posts you'd find the odd typo - or worse. :o

I rarely make posts about people's grammar, spelling, or punctuation but when you see the same thing repeated over and over and over again it eventually gets annoying.

You have to ask yourself: Do people really want to keep looking stupid by repeatedly posting nonsense such as 'ect'?

If I kept making a stupid mistake I'd really appreciate someone pointing it out to me because I wouldn't want to portray myself as illiterate.

If someone posted that the capital of France was Lyons, no one would bat an eyelid if someone pointed out that they were wrong. So why is that the internet seems to be patrolled by 'anti-grammar' Nazis who cannot let a simple correction lie without making a fuss about it?
