  • Oh no that would be a shame if you couldn't go. Is the wedding along way away ?

It's approx 3 hours drive on the motorway (ish). Problem is that we have another big family thing that's about 2 hours drive away the following week!

Not sure megabus would be an option as car would be quicker. No-one else from our town is going as no other family live here.

  • When is the wedding, is it a few months away ? If it is, maybe it will give you time to settle into your new budget, and hopefully if it is working for you , you may find a way to be able to go.

It's towards the end of April, so we'll see but we have to reply by the end of March.

  • Urgh, well, went to bed feeling fine and woke up in the early hours with my head all mashed.
I guess once you've had your LBM, little ones come thick and fast afterwards. I'm due £20 'birthday money' and was thinking about what to spend it on - suddenly £14 for a bag is very pricey! I got to thinking that there's an exercise class I;d quite like to do, but it's £4 a week, that's £16 a month assuming that a month is 4 weeks and that's a stupid amount of money! ARGHhhh everything is just so expensive. I need to put money on my phone but can't justify it (odd as that might sound).
Urgh - I hate money..(or rather the lack of it) and it's making me realise how much of it we both 'threw away' (even though we didn't really, but in comparison)

  • Morning,

Hope your head is feeling a bit better this morning, mine was mashed yesterday also. I agree with you totally. I think we have little flickers after the LBM ,intended to keep us on the straight and narrow and not veer off spectacularly !

Its amazing how things you would have thought nothing of buying pre LBM now need so much careful thought and consideration. I think its a good thing though. As far as the exercise class goes, seeing as you have been feeling low of late, I would actually think it might be a good idea. Many people find that exercise helps them manage stress and depression. Gym fees ( obviously nothing too grand ) are allowed to be included on your CCCS statement, but it would mean contacting them again to re jig everything which you may not want to do unless you could shave it off elsewhere in the budget but I understand how difficult you may find that to do.

Maybe have a mull over on it x

Thanks. yeah it would be nice to have something that is 'me' but we're already having to find another £17 a month that we both forgot about during the re-jig, and so I think, for now, it might have to go by the wayside, at least until we're a bit more experienced in budgeting and stuff.
