  • 'Rose' is fine, but so is BR lol I refer to my other half as Mr BR so that'll be why people call me BR I expect, but as neither 'Blushing' nor 'Rose' is my real name, I don't mind. Although I do agree that Rose sounds nicer!

I have now subscribed to my own diary, felt a bit weird but I can see the sense in it.

  • Well, last night our bedside lamp broke *sigh* so today we went on a lamp hunt. Asda? no. Tesco? No (and in fact I'm thinking about writing them a letter re customer service on that one), Argos? YES! £4.99 a little lamp, perfect colour. We get it home and....the bulb we had doesn't fit.
Having checked the account, though, we're twitchy about running out of money so we're going to wait until Friday to get the bulbs. Might sound stupid, but we'd rather wait. I've, instead, suggested that we use a candle as a temp lamp. Mr BR retorted with 'well why did we buy a lamp, we just could have used candles'. The man's got a point..

Ah, but you didn't orta fall asleep with a candle alight... and they don't last as long as bulbs... but I agree, much nicer. :D

  • Very true, although we don't fall asleep with the lamp on either.

Urgh, got a wedding invite this morning but we probably can't go as we can't afford the petrol

  • Oh no that would be a shame if you couldn't go. Is the wedding along way away ?

I used to dread invites of any sort, prior to the DMP but now I find we are managing much easier and I feel I am slowly getting my life back again.

It would be a shame if you want to go and can't. Megabus? Car share?
