  • I don't feel like a fighter..

Of Course you are BR ! You havent given up yet, you are still here fighting to get this resolved.

The CBT referral sounds really positive and just think if in the long run it helps you with getting a job, it really could change things hugely for you.

The plan to target the OD sounds a good one.

Take Care, hope you have a good day today x

Thanks - I feel more that I'm/we're trying to cope with things as they come along.

The next thing are the injections for the cats (£70 for the two) but the car is being very dodgy as well. Why can't things just back off and let us get sorted? Bloomin' life!

  • I hope my mood lightens a bit this week, last week was difficult, felt very low about everything.

Today I have a jumper and the heating on, as it's very cold.

We have under £10 in out housekeeping 'pot' to last us until pay day (24th) although we currently have a reasonably full kitchen and, so far at least, some money in the 'sundries' 'pot', although I'd like to avoid having to spend that as the cats are going to be due their injections in Nov. Saying that, I don't actually trust the fact that we've got the amount that the calculations say we've got in sundries as I'm sure I must have miscalculated or missed something...still, I'm hoping it's right, that would be nice.
We have opened another, 2nd, bank account as we were planning to transfer money that wasn't bills into it and then life off the money in the new account, but for some reason we just didn't get round to doing it at the beginning of the month. not sure why, perhaps fear that it'll make it more difficult, rather than easy? Not sure.
I have to ask Mr BR to do this sort of thing, and he says he will and then 'forgets' or just never gets round to it, I can end up nagging and then it turns into a 'thing'.
Also, last week we got a letter from MBNA telling us that they're selling our debt on to a collection agency. CCCS told me that this is normal (and I know it is) and that everything is still fine, but it's made me a bit twitchy in spite of having posters tell me that it's happened to them and there's been no change.

Stop the world, I want to get off....

Well today my CBT counsellor found me in tears in the waiting room. I'd been talking to a sweet little girl and it just made me weep. That can't be good.

  • Hey, don't give yourself such a hard time - I have been known to cry at adverts/Eastenders/people being mean/people being kind etc. It's just a bit like that sometimes.

hey, we all need a good cry, its tissue box when Paul O'Grady did the battersea dogs show, even worst last ngt, it was full blown gales when he adopted the puppy.

Look at it this way, the girl has touched you in a ay, maybe you identified with, felt sorry for her situation, and you felt for her, it sounds like you wear your heart on your sleeve, x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

My counsellor says I'm very sensitive anyway, but my depression doesn't help the situation. I cried after chatting with the little girl as, due to various reasons, I haven't had children and now can't and the biological urge kicks me up the bum at times.

Brilliant, the morning dawns and I get a call from Halfords telling me that Mr BR's bike needs a new back wheel at 'only' £35. They're very generous and not charging us labour as well, but that's still £35 that we need for something else.
    *sigh*

Nope, don't think we have enough in sundries for the month...cos we have £8 in housekeeping to last us until the 24th I was hoping that we could use any sundries money for that.
It'll mean he'll have to use the car, which means then we have to find money for petrol...
