Well, today I had a panic attack on the bus home after having dropped the car at the garage (well, I think that's what it was, went dizzy suddenly, felt sick and really hot - came home and flopped into bed). i think the reason for the panic was cos they'd said that the max the car would cost to sort would be £250. We've only managed to get this because CCCS have said they wouldn't take it (which they haven't) and once that's spent that leaves us with approx £40 until the 24th. Anyway, as I was leaving, the guy says 'oh, we'll ring you and let you know how much it'll be' and I said hang on, you gave me a max figure of £250! and he said oh yes, well that's if the problem's what i think it is' and now I'm terrified that it'll be more and we just can't pay it.
Also, MY bank account I've just checked and I have about £6 in it -if- nothing comes out. It shouldn't do, I've accounted for everything I think - what what if I haven't? I don;t get any money until the 24th either and I'll get charged like anything if I go over my OD *sigh*

Hi Blushing Rose. I feel for you as I felt the same when I had to spend £450 on my car. But I would have no chance of getting to work without it, so would be in a worse position - if you know what I mean!**Debt Free as of 15:55 on Friday 23rd March 2012**And I am staying that way

Really struggling at the moment. We're planning a nice, cheap, valentine's evening tonight, nice meal, watching a dvd with wine, and yet all I can think about is money and how little we've got and how we're supposed to manage.
I'd been wanting things to get better once we're on a DMP but I'm more stressed out now than I was before!
Anyway, posted our currently SOA as agreed currently with CCCS in this thread.

Hi Rose,
Just had a look at you SOA. I really would increase some of your budget to allow for building an emergency fund at least, as well as christmas/birthdays like you mentioned earlier- this is what I intend to try and somehow do, as I'm sure it will make me feel more in control and less scared knowing there is a little money put aside if needed.
I have been incredibly down about money where it has been difficult to enjoy or think about anything else so I know how bleak you feel, but do try and enjoy this evening together. You are doing all you can at the moment and definitely on the right track xx0 -
Hi BR
Sorry to hear you're feeling so low...hugs to you.
I can totally relate to the problem of thinking about debt constantly. Sometimes I have to force myself to switch off the computer and do something else instead of just sitting there, looking at the figures and getting upset.
It WILL get better and I hope you manage to sort out a more realistic budget for your DMP.If you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
Thanks both, sorry about the delay in responding to you xx

So, an update then.
It's currently 4am as I write, and I'm wide awake *sigh*
I am really struggling to not be in a constant panic/worry mode about money. I think about it all the time...will we have enough, how much have we got left, what do we need to buy, have we got enough etc etc. I'm so fed up of it and yet I can't seem to relax at all.
The other day we think I had a bit of a panic attack on the way home from dropping off the car at the garage (£225 paid and it's driving so much better, hopefully will make a save on petrol too although so far it's not feeling like it). I just suddenly felt tired, hot, sweaty, and sick all at the same time. Came home and laid down for about 4 hours, and felt light-headed for the rest of the day. Today, I suddenly, mid afternoon, got such a feeling of dread come over me like a blanket. It made me feel tired, sick and light-headed - I really hope these aren't panic attacks. I'm not sure I could cope with those on top of everything else too.
I'd really like to be more light hearted for Mr BR's sake as well. He works very hard during the day (and often in the evening at home as well) and the last thing he wants is to have a crying woman in the evenings....arrghhhh.
Oh, and I really must update my siggy....(and keep a better diary!)Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
