Houses and buildings in dreams represent yourself (evidently). Which means that yes, this dream was probably about your current financial situation. How interesting that you needed people to help you negotiate the worst broken bits (that's us on here!) and that the lift still worked (you're definitely on the way up and out of there) and that you salvaged what you could then were on a bus, travelling away from the wreckage (where you're at now).
I love symbolism, me.
I was also wondering if the fake doors that opened onto nothing in some way represent all the 'tricks' that banks and credit card comanies try to pull us into. Such as consolidation loans, or brand new credit cards, that make you think you're getting something good but actually are false and land you in deeper trouble. Or maybe that's taking it a bit far.
Ok, I'll stop now. Very interesting dream though. Hope your day is going ok.If you know you have enough, you're rich.0 -
Thanks
I did wonder if it was all about what's going on.
Saying that though, I'm feeling unsure of how our relationship is coping with all this as well, so it could be relationship related as well.

OK, so, brilliant news! NOT Our boiler has decided to stop working - again. It did this a couple of weeks ago, and now it's done it again. *sigh* British Gas coming out tomorrow to have a look (we pay them for their 'home care' service and it's been worth it over the years) so hopefully they'll be able to sort it out again. It seemed to be the fan at fault last time but it wasn't replaced, just 'oiled', so I suspect it's got stuck or something again. Whatever it is, with snow on the ground and freezing cold outside 9and soon to be inside) it's not what I want right now with my state of mind being what it is.Our LBM: Dec 2011. Omg, I'm beginning to think we are really the same person! We started our dmp at the same time and now we have the same fault with our boiler. Our fan ceases up every couple of months. The first time we got someone out to it, he charged £25 to take the cover off the boiler and spray some wd40 on it. Then told us it might work for an hour or it might work for years. In reality it worked for about 3 months. Now when it fails dh just takes the cover off and sprays the wd40 himself and so far he has got it going again. We've also discovered that should some day he not be able to get it going again, a new fan on eBay is only £40 and you don't need to be corgi registered to fit it. In an ideal world I'd love a new boiler cos ours is a long way from efficient but I just have to accept that isn't going to happen at the moment.0 -

We pay £16 a month to British Gas for the home cover and to be honest it's been great, they come out the next day, no call out and no parts/repair fees...
although I have a feeling that we'll be cold for a few days cos I doubt they can order new parts over a weekendOur LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Maybe the way forward to start off with is to take out your shopping money as cash, but meal plan and shop weekly. that might stop the meals getting samey? the trick of course is to not dip into the next weeks money....

Yeah, we did seriously think about that for this month, but got scared at taking out the full amount. I think we'll do that next payday and give it a go. We're still learning what works best for us.Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Well better news today. The gas man has already been, replaced the fan in the boiler as he had one in his van, and we now have heat and hot water again. A nice positive start to Saturday.
Post today was nice too, a statement from Barclaycard which seems to tally up with the payment made to them by CCCS and no added interest. I'll take a good look at it all later (when I nag Mr BR again to look at all the statements online) and we'll update the CCCS amounts and make sure they all tally up. (Mr BR doesn;t seem to realise we should do this!)Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Right, tallied up the different accounts as far as we could. Don't have a statement for how much we owe on the loan in actuality as we've had nothing from them at all.
However, one thing that's come up is by only paying just over £400 in Jan, the debt seems to have decreased by £7000! Now, I'd like to say that we're impressed by this but we're not. Somewhere down the line a mistake has been made at the CCCS end and it's saying we owe £22,450 and we don't, we owe more like £29,000. Of course, they're not open at the weekend so we can't ring them to get it sorted out. Also, for some reason the CCCS have got us owing less on the Barclaycard than we actually do, so we've changed that on the website now.
*sigh* hassle that we don't need, is this usual? Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
