Right, have updated my 'Lent choccy' tally and not doing too badly (partly due to cup cakes though I think) so, not planning to make any more for now as this should also help get the weight loss back on track.
Still feeling very ill, but more like myself *finally* so I'm hoping it's on it's way out now. Only snag is that now I have a poorly eye (they shoot horses, don't they - anyone got a gun for me?) hoping it's a temporary thing but it's sort, itchy, cries now and then and it feels a bit swollen although doesn't look it.
As for money and whatnot, getting a bit twitchy about how much we've got left although I'm sure we'll actually be fine. We recently took advantage of Mr Tesco's 'buy 1 get 2 free' offer on Easter eggs so that's eggs bought for everyone except Mr BR and myself. In spite of the fact that we're only just into the middle of our pay month, we're going to have to put the 2nd half of the petrol budget into the car as Mr BR has had to use it for work since last Monday because of his bike being in the shop.
We've also been told today that his son will be coming home from Uni over Easter for about 3 weeks. It's going to be lovely to see my step-son but (and this isn't a good thing I don't think) but my first thought was 'how are we going to afford to feed him?'. Mr BR tells me that we'll worry about that when the time comes, but I'm not sure that's wise. Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Nice to see the increasing total of choc-free days! Perhaps the answer to feeding the lad is to make lots of cup cakes? They will be gone in five minutes if my family is anything to go by!
If it's any help (I quite often end up with 5 young adults plus DH and self to feed!), I'd suggest you go very old-style and bulk out meals with bread, Yorkshire puddings, potatoes etc - cheap savoury carbs with the occasional sweet carbs thrown in for good measure. For breakfast (if he's up for breakfast) things like Weet@bix are more filling and ultimately cheaper than many other cereals, and toast is cheaper still - or porridge. If you do bolognese or similar, add an extra tin of cheap tomatoes and of course plenty of spagetti. It depends on what you usually have of course - maybe you are doing these already. A basket of bread on the table with meals and a bag of value spuds goes quite a long way but you don't need me to tell you they can have a roast dinner and want to fill up on cereal half an hour later! Hollow bones.
Loved your snoring story - what a sweetie that man is!Miggy

Thanks Miggy, The advantage, of sorts, is that he knows we're poor and on a DMP and he knows that we have only a small budget each month. Now, he's almost 21 so him being told and him realising what that means are actually two different things...
He'll be away for a few days over Easter itself though, and might spend a few days with his Mum too which will help, so it's probably not going to be as bad as I'm worried it might.
I agree with what you're saying re: bulking out though. It'll just mean being even more organised with meals than we already are. Getting the hang of stuff a bit more now so for example we make sure a chicken does two meals, and although the freezer isn't big enough to batch cook, we do try and bulk meals out so for the two of us, I'll use half of a 500g box of mince in my bol and bulk it out more with veg and to be honest we haven't really noticed a difference so I'm sure he won't either. If he wants stuff in that we don't have then he'll just have to buy it himself! *becomes an evil step-mother* *evil laugh*
Good news today - the only piece of post was from Mr Tesco containing my 'gesture of goodwill' £5 giftcard :T

Someone told me you need to store them online, somewhere like Photobucket (I think) then use the 'Upload image' icon at the top of the message box, i.e. when you're typing your reply.Miggy

I have one of those. The solution seems to be for him to get a money-conscious girlfriend!
